Understandably. But what else are the Eagles to do at DC? This is the most talent they've had in years on both sides of the ball. The Bradley injury sucks, an the health at O line will be huge to their success, but this team will be fine.
I honestly take the preseason as an entirely different entity, which most fans should. A healthy Donovan and this team is possibly the favorite in the NFC. An unhealthy McNabb means Vick coming in as backup. Not a bad consolation.

He's been really impressive so far. It's looking more like Baskett is going to be the odd man out, which is too bad because I really like Baskett. I'd rather see Brown go, but he's really stepped his game up.
And yeah, the first team defense was brutal last night.

I wonder where he will end up, or if this is the end of the road?

Bad news for the bucs: Aqib Talib charged with battery (on a cabbie) and resisting arest. Kane and Talib can be friends.

EDIT:
Quote:
The arrest was the second jolt to the Bucs' defense in three days. Safety Tanard Jackson on Tuesday was suspended for the first four games of the regular season for violating the NFL's substances of abuse policy.

Kind of a funny list about the Cable/Hanson Raiders (alleged) incident:
Quote:
Here are 10 things Hanson might have said that could have led Cable to cold- him.
10) "You're way ahead of where Parcells was at this stage of his career. I mean, gut-wise."
9) "Hey Coach, look at the bright side, the University if Tennessee job will probably be open by the time you get canned."
8) "Any chance the defensive line can have any guys that weigh as much as our quarterback?"
7) "How senile would you have to be to hire a guy who went 11-35 at the University of Idaho to coach an NFL team?"
6) "How does an offensive line coach get promoted after the offense finishes 25th in the NFL in total offense and allows 41 sacks?"
5) "Seriously, Tom, could Al Davis pick you out of a lineup?"
4) "What do the General Partner's boots taste like?"
3) "Did he make you climb into the coffin to seal the deal?"
2) "If you think the defense is gonna take the blame for you not being able to get first downs again this year, you can kiss my Asomugha."
1) "With the seventh pick, the Raiders select Maryland wide receiver, Darrius Heyward- Bey."

Well it's been over two months since a Vick was in jail. Back you go, Marcus.

This guy actually makes Mike look like a rocket science. At least Mike actually made some money before throwing everything away.

Lex Hilliard with a 39 yard TD run for the Fish! Hoping Mike Reilly gets to play at QB for the Steelers tonight. Could be a great night for Kalispell boys!!!!!!

Favre sure looked terrible. I guess skipping training camp leaves you a few steps behind your teammates. Who would've thunk it?

It is an interesting battle for the #3 RB spot with the Fins. They really like what Cobbs brings to the table but by all accounts Hilliard is doing really well.
Interesting to see the Fins use the Wildcat in preseason, even though they ran plays from last season, I didn't think we would see it at all in preseason. I know they are working on a bunch of new plays for the regular season with White running the wildcat.

Any chance Barth supplants Dan Carpenter? I wouldn't think so but I'm not in camp either.
3 years ago I hated the Dolphins, now they are one of my favorite teams because of those two guys.

Seahawks have some great depth on defense.
Deon Butler is going to be a good one too.

I was surprised when they decided to bring Barth in because Carpenter was very good last year. Again, from everything I have read Barth is neck to neck with Carpenter for the job as of now.

Agreed. I still maintain that - barring injury - the Seahawks will win the NFC West this year. I just don't see the Cards doing what they did last year again.

Seahawks defense isn't the issue, or was it last year.
Its the offense. With Walter Jones now out for an indeterminate period of time, lackluster running backs, the big question is going to be the passing game and how Hasslebeck bounces back after a terrible year last year which exposed a little bit why he's not the leader SEA needs.
He's got a good set of recievers, Butler now on top of the others, so there are little excuses this year, and with a new coach, he should be under the gun to prove that he's the mid-term solution as a leader under Mora.

burn_baby_burn, I'm sure you already knew this but you had better handcuff Glen Coffee to Gore, and perhaps a round earlier than you hoped. Still nothing wrong with Gore, but Coffee seems to be everything the Niners wanted and more. With the heavy emphasis on the run this year, Gore will still be the feature but Coffee looks like he will get some carries.
Kind of a weird play call game game with Niners/Raiders; SF went heavy run which makes it tough to sort out the QB race. Personally, I think the Niners have settled on Hill.

Interesting quote from Mark Schlereth
Quote:
The credibility issue is still huge with the Minnesota Vikings. When Brad Childress said, 'Hey, I closed this book,' you think, What book is that? The book on credibility, ethics, integrity? You threw that out the window. ... The reason that it resonates with me is I was a member of the Denver Broncos team where Mike Shanahan for four years told us that Dale Carter, who was playing with the Kansas City Chiefs, could not be a member of the Broncos because he didn't have the integrity, he didn't have the character to play for us. He didn't have that integrity or character for four straight years until he became a free agent and we made him the highest-paid player on our roster. When that happened, we all looked at Mike Shanahan differently. ... Brad Childress has not been honest with that team. I promise you guys look at him differently now than they did before the whole Brett Favre saga went down in Minnesota.

Parcells is always bringing in new kickers where ever he's been. He's always keeping the kickers on there toes. It's one of his trademarks.
The dolphins released some players today with Wilford leading the headlines. If Parcells made a mistake with this team, this is it, he was a huge bust and waste of money.
