I'm so excited that after the really dry spring we had, we're finally getting some rain!
I really hope that doesn't need to be in green.

Why not? If I live power line falls on your car, and is still on your car, don't get out. Why shouldn't you get out after a lightning strike? All the electrical energy would have just passed through the car, and would be gone.
Of course, cars getting hit by lightning is practically unheard of. Since tires are made of rubber and don't conduct, the lightning takes a path of less resistance (i.e. one that is grounded better)

Yes. It is much better to have a flaming tree fall on you after being blinded and deafened by a bolt of lightning. That is if the lightning hasn't jumped from the tree to you.
Always find a low spot and crouch down on the balls of your feet. Never hit the dirt. You want the least of you touching the ground as possible. Stay away from trees but if you have no choice, find the smallest ones.

If you go to http://wx.ca/ within the next couple of hours you can see the graph of the changes when the storm went through.
The temp dropped 8 degrees almost instantly, wind from 0 to 60, and 260 recorded strikes near him in a short time. Pretty neat.

He doesn't just kill them, he dismembers them and then puts them through a chipper. How twisted is that? I need new friends.

Has anybody looked at the forecast for the rest of the week yet?
http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weather/caab0049
On Friday the weather network is predicting 50+mm of rain!?! Hopefully we don't actually get that much rain...

Don't listen to the nay-sayers, sign up now for my "survival pod" - only $1000 to spend the weekend huddled fearfully at my high-rise apartment downtown. For that money, you get 1/4 of the fridge, space for your sleeping bag on the living room floor, and a view off my balcony of the hobos and crack dealers vainly struggling against the floodwaters rushing through the streets, strewing carnage and debris everywhere.
Act now, don't be disappointed. Space is filling up quickly.

Chicken on the Way's basement will be the first to flood. I hope you cleared your locker.

Looks more like a barbed wire fence that just happens to be in the shot.

We have high-tech pumps for swooshing out "liquids". I'm sure they'll work just as well for water.
