Now remember, if you see a funnel cloud and then wake up in the middle of a field with your pants around your ankles and a 5 dollar bill pinned to your shirt, it probably wasn't a tornado.

CP can start a storm chaser group and try to get a metal garbage bin full of empty popcans to be sucked up by Tornados

No way ... ball bearings. They create much more splendid havoc.

Forget metal garbage bins, I know a few great places with blue plastic bins already full of pop cans and such

Still not true... in a high precipitation supercell, nearly the entire bottom of the storm can be shrouded in rain, leaving no gap or calm between the rain column and the tornado.

Those are harder to get a hold of. People take those inside right away because left out, they can be a glaring signal for thieves to rob their homes

Still not true? Actually the picture and my experience says otherwise, and your explanation as well. "Can be" doesn't mean "always is".

If you ask anyone that's been through a tornado, they'll tell you about that silence, I promise you that.

Exactly, "can be" doesn't mean "always". There is NEVER always a calm before a tornado, it's a "can be". Saying it always happens can be dangerous as people may purposely look for a calm before thinking a tornado is on the ground.

The weather in Alberta is wierd lately. Came back from Banff on Sunday only to hear a tornado had touched down in Red Deer, Alberta.

Tornado watch for
City of Calgary ended

Edit: And someone just called my buddy and offered him $3000 cash for a car he listed for $6800, so... no dice on that front either.

Here is a pic that shows a supercell. The storm would be moving from left to right.

Check out the mammatus on that baby!

She may not have big'uns, but she's sure got a lot of em.

Hey baby, why don't you take your overshooting top off and sit your flanking line down next to me... aww yeah... that's it baby... ooh, I can feel your precipitation...
