I wouldn't post my infractions here. They're private for a reason. Take it up with a mod.

Well, you're the one getting the infraction, if you don't care if someone sees why you were slapped on the wrist, who cares? Not like you're posting someone else's.

Aww, I'll vouch for you in a 09/10 mod campaign, anyways.

Vote Banana Hammock!

As long as you aren't calling out mods, I don't think they'd appreciate that none too much. They like to keep that stuff uber private.

I'm calling out Jorje over my infraction.

In fact, I'm challenging him to a fight. That's right. 3 o' clock. After school. Bring your lunch money, Mexican!

Moderating would be an awesome job if it wasn't for all the users...

We need a moderator to moderating the moderating team.

Funny you say that, I've always liked /.'s meta moderation system, though it kind of is better for their style of system.

The mod team does talk back and forth about moderation issues, so we try to moderate each other. I know I'm usually the softest one and typically recommend more rope for users.

Are we allowed to compare points? I have 7 and they never ever ever expire apparently.

Basically the system randomly chooses moderation points to give out to random people. If you get them you can moderate a comment in a thread insightful, trolling, etc.. rate a post up or down, posts start at 1 and can go up to 5 or down to 0.

You can't moderate a discussion you are participating in.

Then they have the meta moderation system, the system choose you to look at someone's moderation action and rate it, if it was good or bad or whatever.

So over time, people that have had their moderation actions meta-moderated as good will get more moderation points given to them, while people who's moderation actions are meta-moderated as bad will get less or none at all eventually.

They probably do something with the meta-moderation as well to refine it.

The system automatically filters for good moderators and filters out the bad ones, and because of the huge user base and the random nature of the points, it seems like a very difficult system to game.

Right....So, when does the mod campaigning start? I would love to be a mod, my platform would be to guarantee the unilateral perma-banning of any and all fans of opposing teams.

Who would be the first to go? I've made a 10x10 wheel in my garage to answer just such a question.

I would rule with an iron fist and unquestionable moral authority.

How can a wheel be 10x10?

So as an Oilers fan if I take up heavy drinking because we're not in the POs this year but then curtain my drinking so I'm only drinking in moderation, I can't discuss it? Bad joke. Don't answer that.
