I would put it this way ..

Div 7 - beginners and those that are not too "hockey aware". (Ie. positioning and where to be).

Div 6 - A mixture... there is a little more control to the game. A little more setting up of plays and hockey sense. Still some beginners out there.

Div 5 - Play improves quite a bit. Harder shooting and better set ups. Individual players can pick teams apart.
--------------------------------

The big thing is that if you start in Div 7 and kill everyone in the first few games they will bump you up.

I want to play... I think I would be a div 6 player...
What kind of equipment does everyone use at these games... I would have to buy it obviously before...

You need a CSA approved helmet and if you use a visor it has to be CSA approved. Other than that soccer style shin pads if you don't want your shins hacked to the bone, gloves, stick, jock.

You play 1 to 2 x per week. Basically 20 games from May to Mid July.... and then playoffs can be 4 times per week depending on how you do. It ends around August Long WEekend (Provincials).

Composite Sticks are allowed. You need CSA approved everything. No Lacrosse Gloves are allowed.

Your team name was Rude Boys? I don't even remember a team by that name? You said last year as in 12 months ago or last season. I just started last season. We're the Vipers

Div 6 was the lowest the last two seasons. We made it to the finals last season and are currently in third this season. There are a couple teams that aren't that good, but for the most part, the teams are pretty good. At least I thought so. I'm not that good, but I did finish 12th in league scoring last season and currently sit 4th.

We cut three of our lower end guys and going to try div. 5 next season

I know that we got one goalie registered for sure... so not sure if they need another..

Im pretty sure the team is filling up quite fast waiting for some last minute commitments if they are a no we will let those interested know!

Is there enough interest on here to do a second team?

Honestly there might be enough interest to start a 2nd team. It seems like a lot of people are interested. We're rolling with a fairly small roster + subs when people can't make it just to make sure we all get lots of playing time. We have a goalie registered for the full season, so he'll likely play all games but if he can't make it to a game, we'll be posting here looking for a sub goalie (you can sub in the league for 5 games at no cost)

Ok well sounds like the team is full but most likely i'll be playing against you guys during the season. Sounds like my old team is going for a Div 6 Tier 4 spot so hopefully we'll see you guys out on the floor.

Can anyone that plays in the league post a link of where players looking for a team would post, such as free agents. I am looking to play and get on a team.
