Who would get the money from this? The province or the city?

The province pays for the mtce on the road is why I ask.

Yah, I live on Deerfoot Trail in Johnston's consituency, and there's nothing more frightening than when the kids are out on the front lawn, playing happily with discarded cigarette butts and squashed gophers, with the traffic zooming by at an unsafe 130 km/h.

Haha they posted my comment..

"I'm a huge speeder, I always will be. I hope the cameras pick up on all the useless drivers out there who try and do 70km/h on a 100km/h highway. If you cant function, stay home or take a slower road. To all the morons who sit in the left lane at 90 or 100. Enjoy the diesel soot coming through your vents once I get around you."

This is a great idea and I'm certain we'll see them up soon enough. Hopefully this will help curtail some of the tailgating that goes on in the left lane as well. Hey jerkoff, get off my ass, the speed limit is 100! lol

Aneurysm. And I almost had one because of that.

For me, there is a difference between keeping a safe pace with traffic and actually speeding aka driving unsafe. I would wager that your 'noble' act probably would lead to more accidents then the driver doing 110 or 120. But that's just me. But then again I'm just happy I can drive the road without a toll.

I completely agree. And the powers that be have determined that 100 km/h is that safe pace, which is why I stick to it.

Thats fine, when you look in your rearview and all you see is the grill of a 1500 staring back at you, wave because that is me 6" off your tailgate.

Fine, but don't be self righteous about it. It's not your duty to police the speed limit. But I'm done being goaded. Have a nice day.

lol. Keep in mind in your example what you are doing is completely illegal and totally dangerous versus what I am doing which is 100% legal and totally safe.

Going the speed limit isn't policing it, it's abiding by it. A nice day to you as well.

Thats fine, speeding is illegal as well and I am okay with doing that.

I would argue what you are doing is not totally safe. Forcing people who want to go faster than you to pass on the right (undertaking) is not totally safe. There are many countries where the act of undertaking is illegal because it is unsafe. You keep fighting the good fight though killer.

Who exactly is FORCING you to undertake them???? You have the choice, and CHOOSE to drive unsafe (by your own definition).

I guess if you're not doing anything wrong, you shouldn't be too worried but I still don't like it. It's like having a friggin stalker.
Solution: move to Drumheller or some other such place. It's only an hour and 15 into the city, about the same as an average city commute, and out here we still speed, fail to stop, run over pedestrians/cyclists and just generally enjoy the good things in life. And we park where we damned well please.

You just like having an excuse to use the 550 horses you have in that thing.

Personally, I don't mind speeding. I remember family vacations in Germany doing 170 km/h down the Autobahn in an 11-seater VW van still being passed by cars that must have been doing 240 km/h+! And I'm Irish-German so I'm insane.

But tailgating is for morons. The guy in front could let you hit them and you would be on the hook for everything. You have too nice a truck to it up like that.
