This is the most ######ed thing I've ever heard. By your logic we should ban children. They are noisy/shout randomly during the day, stinky, don't clean their own feces/urine, and dirty. Not to mention they incite many animal attacks and promote stress in adults. Dangerous little buggers, best to exterminate the whole lot of them.

Threads like this make the idea of making a master race via extermination of morons appealing.

Okay, this is why I don't like babies:
  1. They are loud. I can hear them cry at night and I can hear them cry in the morning. If I walked outside and cried randomly on a daily basis, the cops and my therapist would be all over me. Why do babies get away with it?
  2. They are dangerous - not dog dangerous - but dangerous enough as outlined by the gang violence in Vancouver. Yes of course your baby won't join a gang, but some will. In fact there is a gang shooting every day of the year with an aggressive, what use to be a baby, in Canada last year.
  3. Crap. People simply shouldn't let their babies crap in public, it is absolutely disgusting. Kudos to you if you teach you baby, but enough don't that is an obvious problem.
  4. Breastfedding. I've never seen any baby owner, no matter how responsible, not try and breastfeed in public. If I whipped out my man breasts in the middle of a park where children were playing, people would freak. Let's put the public nudity aspect of that example aside, people would be disgusted that I was whipping out my breasts where kids were playing. It's outrageous, frankly.
  5. They're dirty and they smell bad.
You know, I understand people love their baby and that's great. And I can also see that it would be unfair to take a baby out of somebody's home - both to the baby and to the owner.

A more realistic solution to this pest problem we have would be a city-funded initiative to spay and neuter every human in the city, ban the sale/possession of any new babies, and just wait for the current generation of babies to pass away. Within say 75 years the problem would be solved.

I would be curious to know if anyone else would be interested in this plan. Perhaps we could start a petition or do something to get the ball rolling on this. Obviously it will be a tough thing to achieve, but I think if we are compassionate to the current baby owners, this may have legs. It will certainly get support from some people, I'm just not sure how many at this point.
Well played. Took the angle I was going with and decided not to half ass it.

From wikipedia:
An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the intention of provoking other users into an emotional response[1] or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion

Come on, I'm making a point. Reminds me of Chris Lindberg. The collective lemmings that are CP constantly bombarded the guy with insults and everytime he started a thread or tried to contribute he was shot down and humiliated. He built a rep that was embarrassing. Then one day the collective lemmings that are CP just instantly made him a hero, but he left anyway as he should have, he was getting disrespected and made fun of constantly. I just don't see how shaming others for having views differently than yours is cool.

Don't get me wrong I get the facepalm jokes etc but really is it necessary to call every second poster who doesn't just fall into line like cattle a troll or an idiot?

This is a step in the right direction. Not far enough, IMO, but I do appreciate that you at least see where I'm coming from. Something must be done...much like we have banned smoking from inside bars, restaurants, etc. because they are disgusting, we must also find a way to keep dogs away from the general public because they too are disgusting, loud, etc.

I propose a plan to ban Christians in Calgary within 15 years.

They're loud, dangerous, crap and urine often, dirty and smell bad.

I understand your point, but his argument boils down to "I don't like dogs, so ban all dogs."

After "um, no.", what else can you say to that?

I think as time progresses and the population density increases in big cities you will see restrictions on the type of animals allowed within city limits. (ie weight or breed limitations)

This however will not come to pass for a very long time. Calgary has so much green space right now the populace just wouldn't stand for having their beloved dogs taken away, and neither would I for that matter.

That being said dog limitations are more likely to come about as a result of necessity. If calgary, in the same area, was 10million instead of 1mil, we might see this kind of legislation proposed because people simply won't have any personal space and won't want to waste space on dogs.

I highly doubt there are a lot of dog owners in places that have a Japan like population density [insert dog or cat joke here].
