That was a pretty good game. Got a little nervous when J.O. missed one of his free throws and San Antonio got possession for a possible game-winning 3-pointer with about 7 seconds left. I was holding my breath waiting for Roger Mason to jack one up.
Calf cortusion, I think they said. They don't expect him to miss any time, especially with all-star week giving him a week off.
Yeah, I had the same thought about Roger Mason. The Raptors have seen so many of these games go the other way. Nice to see them win through some reasonably good defense.

Crazy game last night, huge contributions by the gusy 3-X in their lineup.

I'm surprised Moon is included in this deal. I think he's got great potential... and buzz surounding him. Very surprised that they are cutting ties with him already.

He's a 28 year old on a rookie contract with no work ethic.
Don't the the door hit you...

He is pretty redundant with them getting Marion.
Not sure how many tempermental, athletic 3's that can't shoot and make you shake your head wondering what the f they are doing out most of the time one team can have.
Interesting move from the Raptors. It makes them softer than can be up front but it wasn't as though O'Neal or Moon were big difference makers on the team.
I think Marion is still living off his rep from Phoenix where he was made to look very good on that team, but he can defend and has as much athletic talent as anyone.
Not sure it make the Raps any better they aren't any worse either.

I will gladly drive moon to the airport so I'll never have to think about his rotten presence anymore.
Wait, Jamario got traded?

Well, the stretch run really begins tonight. If the Raptors have any chance of making the playoffs, they need to start winning now. With Bosh back and a more balanced team with Marion, it just might happen. Not that this is necessarily the best thing for the Raptors (a decent lottery pick - such as the eighth, which they're heading for now - would probably be better for the organization, but if it's a choice between the worst lottery pick and the best non-lottery pick, they might as well make the playoffs and get a bit more experience).
I think it's still very possible that they make it. Here's a very rough schedule analysis: of their remaining 26 games, 16 are against sub-500 teams, and another four are against teams that are only just above 500. And with Phoenix missing Stoudamire and Houston missing McGrady, both those games are tough, but winnable. (And I think we've been pretty competitive against Houston lately). 15 home games. 11 of the games we have left are against other teams that are in the hunt for that last playoff spot.
As far as the teams we're chasing:
Indiana has 14 against sub .500 teams, and 14 home games
Charlotte has 15, and 11 hg
New York has 15, and 14 hg
New Jersey has 12, and 14 hg
Chicago has 14, and 16 hg
Milwaukee has 10, and 15 hg
Hmmm, 42 points given up to the Knicks in the first quarter.
If they are thinking playoffs, they could have fooled me. Colangelo has some major re-building to do this off-season.
Yup, I didn't get to watch the game, but was watching the live boxscore, and boy does it looked like they got slapped bigtime. I admittedly haven't seen Marion play, but I hope Colangelo can keep the guy and somehow sign a true centre.
