I think I got a great score at the dollar store today. They had 85g Scharffen Berger chocolate bars for $1 each. They go for $5 each on their website. I bought five.

I knew a guy who got a deal on a case of Toblerone at a dollar store. When he discovered they all had bugs crawling all over them, he decided it wasn't quite as good a deal.

Do it. I wanted to make homemade pasta (particularly Ravioli) but didn't have the Pasta attachment yet so learned to make bread instead. 10 minutes, 2 Proofs (dough "rising"), 15 seconds of kneading and you've got homemade bread. Kitchen aid mixer with Robin Hood best for bread flours (the multigrain is awesome). Piece of cake.
Just got the pasta roller with Fettucine and Spaghetti cutter last week. It might possibly be the coolest thing ever. Now I just need the pour spout cover thingy and then, maybe, the grinder...but that would mostly just be for making extruded pasta (macaroni, various round noodles). I'm not sure I can justify the price of the grinder attachment and the pasta plates for it just to make a couple different noodles. The pasta roller, however, is absolutely fantastic.
I should mention that I also have a big Cuisinart Food Processor so some of the other attachments have limited appeal to me.

I don't see the point of having a pasta attachment for a mixer when you can get a regular hand-cranked pasta maker for not much money. You don't need a lot of power to roll out homemade pasta.

i've started to grow quite fond of Newcastle Brown Ale. i've always drank lighter beer all my life, pale ales or lagers, but for some reason my brain said "go for the darker beer" at the liquor store and i listened
my brain is smart

I decided yesterday that instead of calling it "ginger ale", I'm going to say "ginger lager". This made me laugh for a while.

^^^I must have watched that "How is babby formed" video a hundred times now and it still cracks me up every time. There's something about the combination of the way the narrator says the lines and the sheer stupidity of the lines themselves that just kills me.

I realized after watching the halftime show at the Super Bowl, that it'd been a while since I listened to any Springsteen. I bought "Born to Run" tonight and absolutely love it.

It reminded me that I don't like anything he's done except for Nebraska and Ghost of Tom Joad (both of which I think are great).

Coming home on the train tonight, the front car was out of service. At every single stop the driver came on the loudspeaker and said, "Sorry folks, the first car is out of service due to human liquid". I think most people laughed each time he said it.
