I'm sitting in my hotel room trying to surf the net except that every second page I try to access gives me a network timeout error. I talked to tech support 3 hours ago for 20 minutes and the situation is still the same. I'm getting tempted to cancel my reservations I have already booked over the next few months with this hotel and switch to a different one.

Did you make some kind of syntax error? If so, the tech support guy probably had an aneurysm at your total lack of giga-comprehension and went home.

I don't even know. Ask one of the tech support guys. Just make sure your can of coke is not sitting on your cd-rom drive when you do.

A random thought in three parts.
Pecorino cheese is really really good. It's an italian hard cheese like parmesan, but with a bit more flavour.
Homemade Ravioli with Pecorino, Mozzarella, Ricota, Parmegiano Regiano, Spinach and Prosciutto ham is extraordinary.
Making pasta with the pasta roller attachment for a Kitchen Aid stand mixer is tricky....but so much fun. Getting the right consistency to the dough is the tough part.

Lol....that's probably something I would actually do. I'd cook for almost any conceivable reason.

I actually love to cook, so chances are, I'd want to help.
I wish I had Italian heritage. Though I'd probably weigh 400 pounds by now if I did.

I was a pretty hefty kid for most of my teen years. At one point I weighed about 225 lbs. I had absolutely no confidence because of this and was constantly depressed. I think I developed some sort of complex because of this where I'm always checking my weight.
I currently consistently weigh around the 180 lb mark. According to my BMI, I'm about 10-15 lbs overweight. I can seem to get down to 175 no problem but that's about it. It doesn't really bother me and I'm not overly concerned about it most of my friends and family tell me I look fine but it does make me curious.

The BMI is a total joke. I wouldn't pay any attention to it at all.
I know where you're coming from though, I've dealt with being built bigger than others my whole life too. I am a naturally bigger person. I was over 200 lbs by the time I was in seventh grade, and I hit as high as 248 lbs in highschool. The absolute lowest I have weighed since elementary school is 185, but that was when I was a weak, skinny and unhealthy freshman. When I was playing rugby for my university, and I was one of the fastest guys on the team as well as one of the best distance runners, training about 16 hours/week between track and gym I was still obese by BMI calculations. Given those considerations, you can imagine what it's like moving to a country like China where everyone is comparatively tiny and it's not nearly so taboo to speak openly about people's bodies and call others fat. Especially when most Chinese assume that a white guy won't speak Mandarin, and so feel happy to talk about how fat they think you are while standing right next to you on the bus or subway. Actually though, coming to China did a lot of good for my perceptions of my own body. I realized that most of us just don't really understand each other's bodies very well. Chinese people will always see my body as fat because it doesn't fit any of the thin archetypes for China. I see loads of Chinese guys as skinny, even though to other Chinese people think they're fat.

I just gave away $400 worth of perfectly good stuff for no reason. And I'm completely broke as it is. Somebody shoot me.

I've been contemplating tricking out my kitchen aid with the pasta roller or some of the other attachments. The flour mill grinder also appeals to me; I really want to start making breads and pasta and such starting with unprocessed grain. Have you got any of the other attachments?

I have always wondered what GirlySports Sig means when she says:
I"LL GROW YOU
Also, not to nit pick but her sig is larger than her post 50% of the time.
Although her blog did get my buddy to buy me breakfast when she had that werid Japanese human slip and slide video and I forwarded to him and he was forever grateful. Lets just say he has a "thing" for women from that area of the world
