Improv on Friday nights is HILARIOUS.

Anything but the bar / clubs. I pretty much got tired of that scene by age... 19. Overpriced drinks, overplayed music (where's a damn good Tool song when you want one) and ######bags walking all over the place wanting your women. I must say I do like a couple places (lilke HiFi) though.

On Friday and Saturday nights (9:30 - 12:30) at Lets Bowl (www.letsbowl.ca ) here in Calgary, they have what is called Thunder Alley....

... black light, laser lights, strobe lights, music.... very popular... always packed.
... and of course, like in every bowling alley, there's alcohol for sale too.

First Thursdays (first thursdays of every month, including next week) are a great night to go out to Art Central. It's packed, open late, there's often live music, and most of the galleries have new works or openings. They're called TSG. I think there a bunch of goofy engineers or something, cause their last album was called "The Ritual of the Calling".
