Personally I always found parties and bars to be excruciatingly boring. Still do. Sitting around yakking about rubbish as as excuse for consuming alcohol. NO thanks.

Movies are OK.

But to me the best dates/times with somebody you want to spend time with are doing an activity. Skating at Bowness Park, a walk through the Weaselhead, skiing at Sunshine, etc. etc. All of those can be combined with going for something to eat afterwards.

In other words do something with them rather than just change the venue of where you sit!!!!!!!!!

Buy her something deep fried and on a stick, and when she starts eating it yell out "toot tooot first train to thigh town" in a really gay voice.

You'll be nailing her in no time.

It's at the west end of Glenmore Park. My favorite walk is to enter from the parking lot on the North Side. Down 37st and the parking lot is on the right. Then go down the hill, across the bridge and turn right. There is a loop there that will take you about an hour and it's right along side the river and some offshoot stream.

Beautiful spot. Swing over afterwards to Marda Loop for something to eat.

Or you could cycle around the Reservoir. Most of the paths are clear already, except for from South Glenmore through to the Weaselhead.

Improv on Friday nights is HILARIOUS.

Anything but the bar / clubs. I pretty much got tired of that scene by age... 19. Overpriced drinks, overplayed music (where's a damn good Tool song when you want one) and ######bags walking all over the place wanting your women. I must say I do like a couple places (lilke HiFi) though.

Skating at Bowness Park, going to the zoo, cosmic bowling (done with friends though), martini bar (Vicious Circle?), a Flames game... there's lots of options you could do.

If you're feeling REALLY ballsy and want to test her affection for you, take her to Switchbox and treat her to a night of Left 4 Dead. If she doesn't leave within 5 minutes, marry her.

Any particular price limit, or are you looking more movie dinner price range.

For one date I bribed the pilot of one of the city news choppers to give us a ride around Calgary. Actually wasnt that expensive, I have been in helicopters before and those news choppers feel like death traps.
