I hate going to Superstore only for the fact that half the stuff I want is never in stock. Gotta try the Tuesday/Wednesday morning shops.
I love
Presidents Choice Rose sparghetti sauce
Potato Pancakes from Ikea
Lipton Homestyle Cheddar Noodles
Stawnichy's (Mundare) sausage
The old blue generic Safeway chips were made by Old Dutch, and the apple juice was made by Sun Rype.
I hate the new flavored BBQ chips by Old Dutch, way to ruin a good thing.

Am I the only one who has that Sesame Street song running through my head, you know the one with the line "...one of these things, is not the same...."
I think you may want to ditch the flax bread and substitute this: (In case you've never tried this delicacy, it's about 50% beef tallow by volume.)

Do you ever feel like it's a conspiracy? Like everyone knows that you want a particular item and so they decided to stalk up on it even though they don't need/want it?
Yeah, yeah, me too.

Mix it with cream corn and enjoy. I only had it once and it was after a day of hunting, I was starved and it tasted awesome. That was 20 years ago and I haven't had it since and probably never will again.

Well, I tried this VH plum sauce today and I must admit, for a plum sauce, it is delicious. When I have a chance, I will try it with some Red Hot... though it is good, I think it could still do with kicking it up a notch.

Nope, but to go with that awful calamari, I can give you a couple of tubs of Costco tzatziki that are also terrible.

I've given up on any sort of grocery store calamari. I get sucked in every time and it always is horrible.
You can keep your half a box.

For the peanut butter fanatics, Nuttin' better ice cream by Lucerne. I used to buy the peanut butter ice cream at M&M's but the price is way too high. The Lucerne stuff is nearly identical for a much better price. Sometimes you can even get two for $6 at Safeway!
And to go with the VH Plum sauce, their sweet & sour sauce is also very tasty.

Continuing in the VH sauce vein...their honey garlic stuff is awesome. Get some cooked rice, put it in the frying pan, pour a little bit of honey garlic sauce on top and let it get kinda gooey. Then...eat! Delicious stuff I tells ya!

When I worked in the deli department of a grocery store we carried this stuff in the counter. It came in a can just like the one in the picture but bigger. Opening up its rectangular can was a huge pain in the ass since the can opener would stop working in the corners and its metal was far too thick to be easily pierced.
When I was working if there wasn't a can already opened and someone asked for it, the cans would go missing in the back cooler and I'd tell them we were out of it. Before long, we stopped carrying it altogether.

I do most of my shopping for our family of six at superstore. It's a total pain in the ass to bag a great big cart full of stuff...but you can't touch superstore for price. The one thing I, too, am leery about is the meat section. I'll buy Lilydale chicken from there, or some of the frozen PC stuff like meatballs etc...but fresh beef, not so much.
Conveniently, in Shawnessy, we have everybody within an under 5 minute drive so I can do my meat shopping at Sobey's or Co-op. Costco meats are usually good too, if you want a really big portion.
I like Costco but portion size and lack of variety in selection make it a hard place at which to do all the shopping.
Oh...here's a snack item I discovered a while back.
on a half a stoned-wheat thin, spread some cream cheese followed by just a small dollop of seafood cocktail sauce. Top with a small mound of Prosciutto ham. Truly extraordinary.

Love these as a snack.
This is the best as an all-around dipping sauce.

The first 5 boxes of frozen taquitos were great. The 6th one has sat in my freezer for about 6 months. The became completely unappetizing after awhile.

Same here, only after 1/2 a box. Some strange flavour in there that just isn't good.

Naan bread, like the President's Choice version, makes an excellent wrap which can be used in place of things like pita bread and tortillas.
