Well maybe I will try again. Do they have small ones or just the family size?

I love making home-made soup. In fact I have some heating in the microwave oven right now. I use all kinds of veggies. Keep it in the office and it's nuitricious and saves a lot of money on lunches out. You can buy whatever's at the grocery store, including great deals on marked-down stuff.

Oh, almost forgot this: Buy stocks; they're on sale.

Wow - are there ever a lot of people here that eat very unhealthy food. The amount of sodium and fat in most processed or prepared foods is extremely high.

I also like VH honey and garlic sauce. I just pore it over any meat. I'm afraid VH is going to be investigated and they find something addictive or something in their products, they're just too good.

I also like Overwaitea pizzas. I just wish we a had a Superstore here, Safeway and Overwaitea are overpriced.

Thanks food police.
I never knew that processed foods weren't healthy.
Here I thought they were better than fresh veggies.

I concur. I am also very nutrigiolous. I am not only Vegan, I also only ever eat fruits or vegetables that have naturally fallen from the tree. I grow them myself and keep them in a cold cellar all winter. Some times it is hard to stick to the path, a person gets tired of eating moldy crab apples after a while, but I have such a sense of moral superiority to other people, that really helps keep me going.

This is a hockey forum. What do you expect from a sports loving, male demographic? A post like this akin to going to a bar on a Wednesday night looking around and saying "Wow you guys sure drink a lot. Do you realize how much alcohol is in those drinks?"

Whenever Classico Vodka Sauce goes on sale, I pick up a whack of it.

Yup their bowls make for great lunches. Butter Chicken, Shrimp/Scallop pasta, Italian Sausage Penne, and on and one. And they are like 3 bucks a pop - which for lunch is CHEAP.

You're right. But I don't drink either. Anyway, eat and drink whatever you want. Just because I won't touch any of that type of food, doesn't mean that others shouldn't enjoy it. But, remember, in the future, when you are lying on your bed after you've had a stroke - ask yourself - was it worth it? If the answer is yes - then party on

^^ ... but if you end up with a thyroid condition or something completely unrelated to your uber-healthy lifestyle, or you get hit by an asteroid or a falling bus and die from that, will you be able to answer yes when you ask yourself ... 'am I thankful right now that I ate so heathily so I didn't end up with a stroke?' ...?

Yes - I want to die healthy

Seriously though - it's a matter of quality of life. I didn't say that you couldn't eat well. You just have to eat properly - and that means to cut down if not eliminate processed foods. Someone above mentioned making home made soup. I think they are on the right track (as long as they aren't salting the hell out of it).

That was me. Almost no salt added. The wife tells me to add more and to make it with something other than a tomato base, but I persist in my stubborness. It's all good stuff.

I process all my own food at home. Much cheaper that way.

Presidents Choice shepherds pie.

Dunn's smoked meat from Costco.

Babybell cheese.

Dempster's flax bread.

Those little crackers and 'cheese' packages with the little red spreading stick.
