Not sure about the iPod updating, I manually drag and drop music from my shared folders into my iPhone through iTunes.

Theoretically you could set your music files location to exist on the network drive (iTunes preferences, Advanced).

The files will be accessible on the NAS drive, managed through your computer and able to be backed up as desired.

But it might take a performance hit being that your files are on a networked drive.

Has anyone pulled this off in iTunes?

I'm doing this on my setup. No significant impact on performance. The biggest delay is if the NAS is in sleep and needs to spin up for the first time.

Anyone have any comments on that 24" monitor? Any good for $270 or worth spending a bit more?

I would be tempted to buy it if my desk was capable of supporting an LCD monitor. (The back slopes away for a CRT monitor)

The one good thing is you can use it as an HDTV, assuming you have a satellite/cable box capable of HDMI or DVI out.

This look smore like it is intended for watching TV/Movies or other widescreen entertainment since teh screen is 1920x1080 (as opposed to 1920 x 1200, like the 2407WFP). It is also a TN panel so it is the lower end panel.

So overall, not bad but you are getting what you pay for. I'm not sure spending a "bit more" will get you much better of a monitor. Compare, look at the differences, then decide if those differences are worth the extra price.

Last day.

A Wii/Wii Fit package on there, for those who are still looking.
