This is crazy maddening. Techincally it is legal what they are doing but it just does not sit right with me.
I fired an e-mail to the GG, my MLA, my MP but really what good will that do?

Exactly. Why don't they call another election, and run as the Liberal/NDP coalition with the backing of the BQ, and lets see if 44% vote for you clowns?

I'm thinking more legal grey area than actually legal. I thought the spirit of the law involved at least TRYING to make it work as elected before a coalition became an option. That clearly did not happen.

I doubt that very much. Currently Alberta and Sask are have provinces, there won't be any stimulus coming our way.
Plus no matter how much money they put our way, they're never going to get more then a few seats federally so they'll do what they always do.

I'm surprised the NDP and Libs are planning on doing anything without striking a Royal Commission first to study the matter. It's always a good way to throw some more money to their buddies at Ottawa law firms. Or, maybe that's what they're planning on spending the $30b on...

I think that this coalition should be forced to fully disclose in detail their economic plan, and their stimulus plan to the public and the GG before she agrees to this. IF they are basically going to high jack the government then they need to be held to a higher standard in terms of their plans to govern.
If they go into the GG with a simply we have a plan that includes a stimulus plan for 30 billion dollars she should throw their asses out and call an election.

So, out of the USA, Britain, the EU, and Canada... Canada is the only one being smart by waiting before laying out a plan? Again, I emphasize the word "PLAN". I am not saying that they need to have implemented it yet... It's such a simple thing, and yet they refuse to do it. If after consulting with the G20 and they feel the need to revamp their plan, then fine. People just want to know in specifics what they hope to do when the time comes.
That's what's frustrating to me about the whole thing. The Conservatives could have avoided it so easily.... and hopefully they still can. They felt way too secure with their minority government.
I actually like Harper as the best of a bad bunch.
