I spend 98% of my FPS gaming in multiplayer. I'll buy a game, go through single player as far as I can and then I do multiplayer. When the game's online community dies down then I'll do some single player again. I've been gaming with the same group(s) of guys online for a little more than 3 years now so multiplayer is key to me.

No change? I've only played the beta but there's a lot of different things.
Sure it's a franchised game but there's new perks, weapons, missions, tanks to control.

I meant no change from my earlier evaluation of the single player experience, not no change from CoD4. CoD4 singleplayer is a far far superior experience than this one...

I'm not getting into the multiplayer for this one just because I already have enough multiplayer games that take up my time.

I've heard the multiplayer is the best part. I might get it but I doubt I'll pay for it (christmas gift hopefully).

/\ apparently the developers themselves can only get to wave 24 of the zombie level.

Has anyone played Gears 2 multiplayer yet? I am in love with Horde and I love all the other types of multiplayer. This will sadly eat all my multiplayer time, so no CoD5 for me.

Is CoD5 much like CoD3, because I am probably the only one who liked CoD3, but after 4, I can't go back to another CoD3 (or 5 in this case).

I played me some multi-player tonight. Only played for a short while, and I got owned by some guy who used to own in me Medal of Honor: Spearhead, but it was still fun. I only played for half an hour but the 1st impression is good.

I was pleasantly surprised to find the zombie mission after completing the solo missions on my ps3. I thought only 360 users got the zombie goodies! I'd say single player is decent...not quite as good as cod4. I haven't played multi-player yet. I have only got to level 3 of the zombie mission so far (3 games) and it's a nice reward. Maybe cod6 will be the zombie wars, that would be cool.

How many hours of single player gameplay is there in this one? I can't seem to find an answer to this question anywhere.

Thanks. That's what I was afraid of. I finished COD4 in about the same amount of time and I was hoping this one would be a little longer. I'm not big into the online end of things and it frustrates me a little bit that they don't make the single player gameplay last longer. Oh well, I guess I'll just rent it.

I don't mind short games as much as I don't have a ton of game playing time, and I like it when they're short but excellent like CoD4 was.

Any PC gamers who play online notice any glitches? If I decide to leave a server it completely disconnects me and I have to shut down the game and restart it to play online again. Sucks when the server I'm on dies down.

I loved COD 4 and was planning on buying COD5. I don't play a lot online, mostly just wanted the Single Player.

So if most of the peeps here are saying the single player isn't worth the money does anyone have any suggestions?

I need to get another game as I've gotten a little too familiar with COD4. I have no other FPS for my 360 but want to get something else. Probably WWII related but not necessarily.

What should I get instead of COD5? Is COD3 any good? Anything else? Doesn't have to be WWII related, as long as it is entertaining. Even if it is a year or two old, doesn't matter, I just want to be able to pass the time. Preferably not Halo, I like the more realistic games better.

I read one review that made the point that the COD4 storyline was fictional and thus more of a surprise to players and that obviously the story of COD5 is one where the outcome is known and that has an effect.
