Top left corner, it's the thing that shows the signal strength.

Does anybody else find that instead of the word "for" the auto-correction uses the word "fir"? Realistically until I send a text message pertaining to a fir tree that is completely useless. Is there anyways to edit the words?

I just did a test on my phone and when I type in "fir" it comes up with the auto-suggestion of "for". Mine is a 1. something version though.

I've been using GMAIL since you guys recommended it to me so that I could get my Shaw email, but it of course does not support fetch. Is there a good email provider out there that will work as well as GMAIL, but also that supports fetch (or push or whatever it is)?

Gmail supports fetch, but doesn't support push as of yet.
For push, I think you're limited to either MobileMe, or Exchange. Though there are some companies that are doing free or pay exchange mailboxes so you can get push without having to have an actual Exchange server.

Do the headphones come with a warranty as well? The button on mine doesn't work anymore.
EDIT: Looks like they do, I guess I'm visiting the Apple store!

EDGE is 2.5G
3G is 3G where G stands for generation. If you are on either outside of Canada you will pay a roaming charge.
In order for cellular data to be turned off, data roaming must be set to off (default). You are still able to join wifi networks.

Does the E on the top bar indicate Edge or error (not finding a wifi network)?

EDGE=Enhanced Data rates for GSM Evolution. GSM phones use it for packet switched applications like the internet browser and iPhone apps that require data and, where 3G is not available, in order to send and receive long range data over radio waves.
I don't really know what else to say that isn't too technical, not that I have a deep understanding of cellular technology.

I just got back to Canada from being in Malaysia for a few weeks and I couldn't get my edge to work, couldn't configure it.. nothing. I was about to call Rogers, then I checked Boss Prefs (awesome program if you jailbreak). I forgot I deactivated my edge connection.. Oops.

Not sure what they could do, though I saw a blog post where they pulled apart the old one and I probably wouldn't use it it was so badly done.
