Jebus. The reffing in the Jets-Bills game is a farce.
Get rid of old refs please!

I'm pretty sure my picks are going down the tubes this week, lots of weird games so far.

McNabb looking terrible, Seahawks up 7-0 over Eagles late first quarter.

Those stupid Lions almost won the game today which would have screwed up their position for the top overall pick in the draft.
After the stupid Culpepper signing had they pulled off that win I would have been pissed!
Its great being a Lions fan and cheering against wins prior to the half way point in the season year after year as your team is already out of it by week 3.

Titans still undefeated! Wow, 8-0...I don't think one person saw that coming. But on the downside Bullock left the game with an undisclosed injury.

And McNabb bounces back with 350 yards passing and a great last 3 quarters.
Eagles D stepped up big.....with the Cowboys loss they pass them for 3rd in the tight NFC East.

Did anyone see the pass interference call on Brandon Marshall that negated an 85 yard TD?
Brutal.
They get a pretty good game out of their defense today and still can't win. Scary.

He pushed off...no question. Where it becomes a bit of a joke is that the call itself, though correct by the rule as stated, is rarely called. When you apply things only at certain times and in certain situations...the whole thing is a just a big bag of ambiguity and the NFL needs to be so much better than that.

It was a weak push off as far as push offs go.
Agree with what you said, but I would also point out that the CB made contact well before Marshall did (and I'm not talking about the initial contact at the LOS).
I think it's an easy non-call.

I just hope you're not basing that as the loss. The PI call on miami in the endzone was also questionable, I believe it to be a makeup call.
Also on Eddie Royals kickoff return inside Miamis 5 there was one clip and possibly two that was not called. The game was 13-0 at that point and that was a huge turning point. The difference there Miami whethered the storm, while Denver failed.
Do I think Miami got a favourable call there, for sure I did. Is it the right call yes, but unfortunately its rarely called, so it probably shouldn't have. But one play doesn't make a game. There was no reason in a 6 point game after that play for Cutler to force a 3rd and 24 pass, take a short pass and punt the ball. Don't make a stupid pass in that part of the field, like he did.
Also Being at home and being down by 2 in the 4th quarter after just scoring that TD and then allowing Miami to March down the field for an impressive 8 minute drive shows me you guys are far from being a superbowl contender at the moment.
Miami at 4-4 is sitting pretty and the easy part of there schedule is coming up. Allthough its early but don't count out Miami.

Jesus, where did I even insinuate it was the reason for the loss?
I didn't see the clips on the return, but I don't doubt they were there. Fact is, there are illegal blocks on 95% of long returns. Too many guys, too small a field for it to go down without them.
Sorry, but the PI call was not the right call. It was complete BS. The one in the end zone was obvious. I'm not sure how you can say otherwise actually.
Denver's offense played like dog and deserved to lose.
Superbowl contender? Wow, where do you come up with that?

I was at the Eagles game today. First of all, Qwest Field is probably the most beautiful stadium I've ever been in. McNabb looked really bad in the first quarter but then came back and played brilliantly. It was a real treat to watch him live.
Seneca Wallace is not an NFL quarterback. Today proved it even more when he spiked the ball at the 45 with about 20 seconds left in the first half. Normally that's not a bad play, except for the fact that it was 3rd and 8.
I think the Seahawks have some of the best fans in the country. They made a lot of noise and they didn't die down even when their team was out of it. Overall, a very classy bunch too.
Are Eagles fans notorious for travelling well, or are there just a lot of them in the Pacific NW? I saw a lot of Eagles fans at the game today. Would say they probably made up at least 1/5 of crowd.

^When I saw the Chiefs play in Seattle at Husky Stadium it was the same thing. The stands were at least a quarter full of Chiefs fans. I also saw the Rams play in Husky Stadium in week 2 when they were defending Super Bowl Champions. A lot of Rams fans at that game as well.

Why didn't Bill go for it on 4th and 1 in the red zone, instead of taking the field goal? NE would have won the game if they convert that.

^ I didn't see the play in question. It all depends on how much time is left. If they need 10 points a lot of coaches will go for the three points in that situation if there is time to get the ball back. If they are stopped on fourth down the game is over. If they kick the FG they still have a chance.
If they were down 8 points or less? That is a very peculiar call.

Wow dude take a chill pill, I said I "hope" which sounds like your not. If you go by the rule book, it was a penalty, the problem is the refs pick and choose what to call and when to call it. I have a feeling Marshall's rep has a bit to do with those calls.
The refs did suck, but they were bad for Miami as well. Miami plays a better team game right now. Denver is too much about the individuals, they have more talent then Miami. But when your not playing like a team talent won't win.
at 4-1 I thought Denver would be a superbowl contender after what I am seeing now I do not think that. I didn't know I have to spell everything out for you.
