I'm working off a 17 inch screen with my PS3, trying to find a replacement TV... Probably wont be playing any time soon, not that I was close to leading in games played before...

Still you aren't among the 3 people who have yet to play a game, and among the 13 with under 20 games played online.

Right now, there is a definite separation in those who are hard core to the team and those who just got in their initial set of games and are slowly building up everything.

There are only 6 who have greater than 50 goals scored in their careers.

There's 12 guys with more than 100 games under their belts. Of those 12, only 4 are + in +/-. There are 15 people who have at least 100 PIMs or more.

There are 11 people who have 1000 or more hits recorded, with only 1 guy below 100 games played.

For the pattern of time playing, it seems to really vary, with some getting in a lot of time on the weekends, and some getting in a few games late at night.

My recommendation is to try BAP with the Classic view point instead of the high/low camera they give you for skaters. Or try goalie mode. No Blue arrow for online play though.

hi guys,

CP: lanevosky
PSN: lanevosky

I like to play defence and goalie.

Btw, maybe we should setup a chat room so we chat with each other when playing?
We can create a community on www.chatroll.com
Just a suggestion.

Hey guys, sorry I have been non-existent the last little while. Girlfriend moved in and I have been extremely busy with school. I saw that they are giving us an update and am excited about that. Looks like some of the changes should help me a fair bit. I think of myself as a smart player who gets into the right spots in the offensive zone. I could never figure out that stupid glitch though so I thought it was holding me back.

Anyhow, I will try and get on next Wednesday or Tuesday. I write my last midterms on Tuesday, so I will have lots(relatively) of free time from then on.

brownah = me

EA somehow messed up my PS3 name with my email on the account, rendering anything like registering online, and records online, useless. Took 3 weeks to fix it, but it looks like it erased any history I had with the CPFatas first time around.

thats one cool think about heather. (my fiance) she will game with me some. she doesn't get into it, nor want to play 10 hours a day like me, but she will play. when we finally got a second controller a while back, she immediately asked if that meant she could play online with us. i had to tell her no that we would need another ps3 to do that. but we have played some nhl together. too bad we cant do eashl with 2 people on 1 machine. but i understand.

The explosion of online gaming has truly screwed over those who enjoy local multiplayer. Not that there isn't options, but the glory days appear to be over imo.

In a sense yes. But other games have come up that have made it better. Games such as buzz quiz TV and rock band. Local games are dead for the most part though which sucks. I miss playin Goldeneye for hours on end and kicking my friends asses.

As far as the girlfriend thing goes, its actually harder for me to play NHL 09 then it is for me to play games like Finaly Fantasy or Fallout with her around. She has ended up watching me play the games for several hours at a time. The stories are significantly more captivating then the story in NHL09. At least for an outside observer. Nothing is more captivating then FlashWalkens quest to be the most penalized player in the league. Or epic fights against Wendel Clark.

OK, just got set up on PS network. couldn't do it for some reason until I just got the update. Not sure how it works, but might try to log on for a few games in the next couple days, see how the connection is and stuff.
