Jack Layton is a Jackass. The moderator needs to call him out more. He's totally flaccid.

You haven't heard news in the last while about some of the reserves that have had major issues like this? It's happening and Layton just tossed a tomahawk into the chests of all the other leaders with his point.

Apparently I've been living under a rock because I honestly haven't. I'm a little disheartened to hear that.

Well, the root cause of that is a culture of defeat on the reservations but that's a different matter to be addressed. Then again, Harper's prime election advisor is Tom Flanagan (my prof once) and he wants to take away all the treaty rights and benefits from aboriginals. The reservations are in a terrible state. It's like moving from Canada to a 3rd world country sometimes.

Jack Laytons solution was to throw more money at the reserves. I could not be more against that.

It's baffling.
I was actually thinking the opposite. Every joe factory worker i know does gripe about funding for meat dresses and the like.

It pitches directly to harpers sweet spot (as a tiny little token) and the more they chirp about it the more it hits home.

Those that really don't like it were never going to vote conservative anyway.

Ok, so everything currently isn't working in Afghanistan, but the right thing to do is grow more poppy crops?

Well it isn't necessarily the federal gov'ts fault. But Layton sure lobbed a grenade that made it sound that way.

It must be nice to be able to promise anything because you never have to worry about fulfilling those promises.

Flanagan is a genius.

Just to clarify your point Flanagan is not an anti aboriginal guy he just doesn't think the reservations are helping our aboriginal peoples succeed, in fact he'd say that it is a big reason they are failing.

I honestly had no idea that he's helping out harper. Is he on a leave from the Uni or is he gone for good?

I don't understand Layton's point. He thinks we should withdraw from Afghanistan but then attacks Harper for establishing a withdraw date? Maybe I missed something?

notice that every single time during Dion's 45 seconds, there is a slow zoom in on his face that none of the other leaders are getting.

Why are we bringing up something that was said in 2003? Harper has already said that the plans in 2003 were wrong.

If we was PM in 2003 we would have been in Iraq..How is that important now???
