I did get that, in marketmall. And if I knew it cost I would have used my 3g since I have the 6gb. they only charged me a few bucks so meh, but it's the principle.
How do you take a screenshot of your phone? I did it one time by accident and can't repeat it!

What he said.
Can anyone clue me in on how to store/re-send attachments with e-mail?
Is there a folder or something somewhere?

If you got that msg call CS and tell them to screw off. As I posted earlier in this thread...I called and complained about my bill from last month and they took off $150 in US data roaming charges. They bend, you just have to work them.

Press the Home button and the Power button at the same time.
Edit: I don't think you can save attachments on your phone. If it's an image, you can hold your finger on it for a couple seconds and then you get the option to save it... but not regular attachments. If all you want to do is dump a file onto your phone, use Air Sharing from the app store (still free, I think).

...or you can hold down the power button and tap the home button.
(In other words, just press them both at the same time.)

Oh hey good point. I hadn't thought of people accidentally holding them both down while trying to take a screenshot. That's definitely not a good thing to do. I mean, it won't cause Calipornia to fall off into the ocean or anything, but it cold screw up the OS.
Perhaps your way is safer.

if you hold the power button though it shows the shut of phone pretty quick so the home button is the better option in my mind anyways.

Sorry that I keep asking dumb questions...but let's say I add the $30 data plan to my current voice plan, and buy an iPhone. And then my contract expires. Can I take my iPhone and move to Fido with no problems?

Alright, I guess I have to decide whether or not to wait until my contract with Rogers expires and go with Fido, or get a new Rogers plan...

Erm.. how long is remaining on your contract? You could always buy it out and then switch to Fido if there isn't much time left.

Um.. no. That's how you can reboot the phone. If it freezes, and it probably will from time to time. Hold both down and the phone will reboot.

It's called a hard boot. The phone doesn't shut down properly when you hard boot it. I don't care who makes the operating system, if it has a GUI, it's never a good thing to hard boot the OS.
I realize it's necessary to do it from time to time, when it freezes, but it's not a good idea to just do it for the sake of doing it. It's even less of a good idea to do it when you think you're just taking a screen shot. Unless, of course, you happen to like the possibility of having to restore the OS.

The $30/6GB data plan carries its own ECF. You have to sign a three year data contract to get it.
As for your plan... they've relaxed the HUP requirements for the iPhone. Why can't you just HUP to the iPhone, change your voice plan to whatever you want, add on the $30 data plan and sign a new three year contract?
You're going to sign a new contact either way, anyway.

Unless you're writing to the file system at the time of reboot.. no issue.

I finally took the plunge today and got an iPhone. I switched from Rogers to Fido for free, and took advantage of their 17.50 a month plan...in total, my bill is 73 bucks per month, with the data plan. I can't figure out how to get the 3G thing to work yet, but at least I finally got it.
