I am appalled that Canadian Olympic weightlifter Marilou Dozois-Prevost is absent from the 50 hottest girls list! Not only does she look good but she weighs just over 100lbs and can lift nearly twice her weight.

Canada has qualified for the final in the 4 X 100m relay by placing 3rd. And it appears that Great Britain will be disqualified for exchanging the baton out of the exchange zone which would place Canada higher

So with the Americans and the British eliminated from the mens 4x100 meter relay, do the Canadians have a chance?

Finished 2nd in their qualifying heat.

AC Chausson ruled downhill mountain biking for a decade, not surprised she won here. Kintner with bronze has a very strong mountain bike resume as well.

Rookie mistake for Cools, she basically over-rotated the jump (same thing happened to me in my very first BMX race a loooooong time ago, cost me the win). Too excited I guess. A shame, but she made the finals.

Yeah, I think they've got a chance. It should be Jamaica, Trinidad, and then about a six-way race for the bronze. Germans and Japanese will be the next toughest, but definitely not in a different class than the Canadians.

i agree, if the canadians run a sound race, they have got a legit shot at the bronze.

By the way, any discussion of hottest Olympic athletes needs to include the Polish volleyball team. But then, I'm a sucker for slavic women.

We were ranked 6th in the world, so presumably are now fourth ranked going into the final.

And the officiating in the taekwondo tournament is just embarrassing. They need to find a better way to score this sport.

Man, I can't watch Taekwando, I get too stressed out by the judging (or lack thereof).

It's awful.
For me it is by far the worst sport in the olympics.

I must agree completely!
I would also add.... as many Tennis players who are on the list, they certainly could have added the Gold medalist, Elena Dementieva. She is a sweetie!

Taekwondo wouldn't be bad if the judging wasn't so horrible. I think they should have adopted the same electronic scoring system as fencing. I was involved in Taekwondo years ago (both ITF and WTF), and I am well versed on the scoring system. The judges simply can't see what is going on from where they are sitting. At any given time, a well timed kick would be obstructed from view, and since you need 3 judges to agree that it is a score, it's obvious this is going to be a disaster.

GROUP HUG!!! (volleyball)

Taekwondo just seems silly with a ref and 4 judges for something that lasts 15 minutes. Maybe the square should be smaller so the judges can see what's going on.

You want Taekwondo-ers(?) to wear electric wires?

Watching the NBC Olympics and saw Emily Heymans of Canada won the Silver in Diving. Then they showed the 400M with the Americans getting the sweep Gold, Silver and Bronze. That guy (defending Olympic Gold Medalist) Wariner(sic) who came in second was an arrogant SOB I think. First he didn't even acknowledge when he was introduced then when another American smoked him, he wasn't too happy and didn't join his teammates. I am glad he did not win the race.

The Russian men's volleyball team is amazing, but they are worse servers than most CIS teams. They are killing themselves this match and should at least be tied. Really really good to watch though. Go Russia!

Watching mens' vball right now. They need the eye like they have in tennis. The ball is going way too fast.

As much as I like Bolt, I'm going to boldy predict that Canada is going to win the 4X100 gold. The Jamaicans are going to drop the baton! Well if they don't we finish 2nd.

USA blows a 2-0 set lead. We're going to a 5th. Mikhailov is unbelievable. The only thing that will stop him is if he tires out from swinging so damn much. He must be up near 50 hits now.
