I'll say it again. Make your first date with any girl a Flames game. Hockey tickets, if she's really hot, get her a flames jersey - just 'meh', get her a flames t-shirt. Then if the relationship goes anywhere, the anniversary can always be to re-live the first date, and hey guess what...it means going to a flames game and getting her some flowers.
Everybody wins.

But yeah there is a middle ground…and referring back too the post you quoted I thought about it and I shouldn’t say “most men” I think it’s more subjective that I originally made it sound. I know for me on a scale from 1 to 10. 1 being a girl who has more masculine traits than I do and 10 being a delusional high maintenance daddy’s girl, I would probably go for about a 7. Attractive enough too have some high maintenance qualities but also realizes there are other people on this earth than her. These women are rare however.

Fair enough. I was mostly just bugging you, because I thought it was a bit ridiculous to say that women fall into either one extreme or another. Like you said, a 7 on your scale would probably be the most desirable, because you get the looks, but hopefully without the bitchy attitude.

Where would you fall on the scale?

I don't know for sure if what I'd rank myself would be the same as what guys would rank me... but I would certainly hope so.
I'd like to think I'm a happy medium between the two... but probably leaning more towards the high-maintenance end, only because I do like to put at least a bit of effort into my looks. I think I have a very laid back attitude though, and I'm friendly and outgoing, so I don't think I have a high-maintenance personality at least.
I don't know, its kind of hard to judge yourself without sounding too big-headed!!!

Unfortunately, I set the standard rather high for our first anniversary. My girlfriend and I happened to be in Europe at the time, so for our anniversary, we had a nice dinner in old Paris (where the movie amelie was filmed) and a trip to the Eiffel Tower. It's kind of hard to beat now when we celebrate an anniversary

Actually that sounded more like a “about me” from an online dating profile

oh I didn't mean competition, but I'm always a little worried that I might have spoiled her too much in that she's thinking I'll be taking her travelling somewhere romantic every year. With that being said, we're planning our first cruise vacation right now...
