I've tested it out before.

If I send someone a message, then remove my facebook account. My message stays there. There is just nothing to click on with my name/account/picture.

Says inbox "wookie" "subject: blah blah blah" and you can't click on anything. That's if I removed my account.

Can't remember what the blocking did, but I did test it out.

Also I blocked an ex, mostly because I didn't want to suddenly see her posting crap on people's walls, know what she was up to etc. after awhile I just decided facebook was silly and removed my account completely.

...They've dated me for 3 weeks.

That's about my average length of a relationship.

I'm sorry, but I laughed when I read this sentence considering who it's coming from.

Damn, this happened to me about 2 months ago and it really pissed me off!

I had dated this girl for about 4 years and we had even thought about getting married at one point before I decided to break things off over different plans for the future. Tried keeping things cool, but mutually agreed to cut off the friendship after a few months because she couldn't handle it emotionally.

Long story short, I moved to Shanghai and she headed for grad school in NYC. End of story.... or so I thought.

Then, about two months ago a buddy of mine comes to visit me in Shanghai and while we are drunkenly walking down the street in Shanghai with beers in our hands at around 2 PM who should I happen to walk past. My ex, travelling with a friend of hers and only in Shanghai for 3 days!!! We talked for maybe an hour, and I offered her a lot of help about places to go and not go in Shanghai and then gave her my number to call me to hang out before she left. She agreed, and later that night gave me a call, which I missed, but promptly returned. Anyways, I left two messages on her phone to which she never replied and then, when I went onto facebook to send her a message saying I hoped she had a good time I found she had blocked me!!

Not only did she not call me back when I was trying to be nice, but then she totally kicked me off her facebook?!? What a snub!!

I guess it all worked out, since that night I hooked up with my awesome new girlfriend, but damn does it bug me, even if I know it's petty...

Either way, I don't really care. I'm going to watch Euro 2008 this afternoon, and that's something I couldn't do on a nice Saturday if I was still dating her.
You seem to be really concerned about this facepage stuff, despite saying the opposite.

Nah, I just wanted to check if it really was a block, or an account privacy setting change, or even a deactivation. It is hard to tell with facebook sometimes. I actually already went out with someone else last night, and we're going out again today!

yeah its pretty juvenile.... when myspace was a big deal it was funny to watch people rearrange thier top friends when there was a fight or what not ( at least in branson it was funny with the whole entertainers click) .... or how people here would update their status like every 5 mins on how they were feeling...... i used to be amused by it and laugh but not its just quite juvenile lol
