The Hurricanes pick two picks away, if anyone has that other special someone they want to get their hands on before they are whisked away... I'm all ears on picking and flipping him to your team

Well we made a lot of ground on Thursday - hopefully Axel checks in today. Otherwise we may at some point delay his pick.

David Aebischer huh? Maybe he'll get lucky and get back the NHL this season..if not, he'll be a decent back up for the year

I felt the same way about my pick Punk. In the end he's a 76ov goalie and thats better then my starter right now. Eddie Belfour didn't take a huge hit this season so if I come out of this offseason with a 72-73 type goalie that will give me one starting goalie and 3 backups.
I had a huge hole in this organization when at the beginning of the year as Jason Churchill was the only goalie under contract on all three teams. Right now I sit with Pascal LeClaire, David Aebischer, Craig Anderson and Stephan Viliguette all on my CPHL team. Nothing to start a goaltending clinic with but all under salary at 8.4 million total

I know that cap limits are ignored until free agency but what about roster limits?

Hey guys, I'm supposed to pick for the Wings and I ended up having to go to Edmonton. Give me a few minutes and I'll make the pick for Trev.
EDIT: Thanks for waiting, I've made Trevor's pick for him so you guys can get on with the draft.

Solid solid pick by LA. Larsson was the guy I wanted with my pick. I'm surprised he lasted so long.

Well hopefully Larsson will provide solid competition with Howard who I also have. At least one of them should be the backup in Hockeytown I would assume.

Larsson has the inside track. Detroit just signed him 2 weeks ago and he was the Swedish Elite League goalie of the year. There was an interview with Holland where he expects Larsson to be the backup next year and eventually be the starter once Osgood is gone. (Howard as you mentioned would challenge as well for a spot).

Huskins is an under rated pick. I was sort of surprised he lasted this long. Consistantly cracked Anaheim's top 6 all year long and put up solid numbers. Plus he has a nice low salary for next year and currently being in the AHL doesn't have to be called up. Nice choice Goff.

It came down to Larsson or Huskins and I felt that my team needs was a solid NHL regular with a cheap contract. Huskins is a regular defenseman on probably the best defensive core in the NHL. He was a huge part of the cup winning team 2 years ago playing in all 21 playoff games and played a regular shift all this season over some pretty solid players.
Larsson has the potential and could become a great goalie but for under a million I felt Huskins was a great fit for me.

Slim pickins' indeed - went for a kid that apparently will compete for a spot on the Predators this season and had a great world championships. Upside over a sure thing like some of the plugs that were available.

You're officially my new rival...I was sure he'd drop to my spot and had him and Huskins targetted...back to the drawing board.
