I fully agree that teams will pass on guys (and I may as well) but you look at the fact that the first 15 teams have players that will impact their rosters. While the bottom fifteen are searching for something, anything. Those who do their homework will pick up two fringe minor leaguers, those that don't bother and don't feel they need anything will skip and the lower ranked teams will still get a chance to get someone. Who knows, I may skip, but it would be nice to try to get something...

Doesn't really help me anyways, but I had considered mentioning this idea as well so I voted snake. It seems more fair cuz there was some good players to take the first 10 or so. Now the higher teams at least get a couple small chances at a future player. Adding a good NHL regular for nothing is a huge advantage to the lower ranked teams IMO, so it's a small price to pay for that advantage

Exactly my thoughts, just to take names that were just drafted (since i'm not allowed to mention names not yet drafted) but does Quincey and Kreps equal Upshall or Daley or Olesz? No..

If you do your homework, there's more then just fringe minor leaguers out there. I have some guys I've rated highly still available to me. Might not make an impact this year, but they will in the next couple

Yes you may have "some guys" you've rated highly still available to you as do I. My point was that there are not 15 guys out there that will have an impact in the NHL. Maybe a couple...although one man's trash is another man's treasure...

I voted no to the snake draft, the idea that a bottom team can get a NHL player and a prospect only adds to their trading pool and a chance to better their team.

Interesting that a GM is waiting in the wings for a team, and 4 teams fail to show up and vote. Very very interesting.
I'm just saying that I'm ready to go, as I'm sure Mike is too. If I weren't me, and I had a team right now, I'd be trying to keep my nose as clean as possible, so to speak...

I voted yes to snake earlier this morning but to me it really didn't matter. I don't think there will be much of anything left in round 2, if at all.

I'm not a fan of the culture of fear you're trying to start. Some people have lives and it can be understood they haven't voted, i'm annoyed when people don't draft quickly but it's understandable..

Yeah, Rob, I don't know what you're trying to get at here, but I was at work the entire time the poll was up, so I'm not exactly sure what it was that I was supposed to do. It really seems like you're trying to make a guy like me - who had very very little opportunity to vote - look bad. Can't say I appreciate it.

Let us deal with it please. People are busy - you know as well as anyone that personal life gets in the way sometimes. Fart - you didn't even send in lines for all your playoff games.

Forgive me for wanting a team when it felt like the rug was pulled from under me. I'll sit back and wait. I appologize if I'm spreading fear, but I put a lot into that team, it's being pulled apart, and I can't build on my new team, if I'm still getting one.
I will sit back and wait for HO to tell me that a team is available, and I appologize if I've been out of place over the last few days.

Yeah, it's the offseason... I don't see a problem if GMs aren't checking into the forum once a day right now... and the thing is, the poll was just posted... GMs can't be blamed for not voting in 24 hours during the offseason...

Sorry, but that's not really fair. Many of us have weird schedules and other life priorities. I obviously come on here as often as I can, but I don't log on right away when I wake up...

Weird schedules? You should try broadcasting.
