Great... first QC, then the Flames, then the Raps, then the Spurs. I'm down to the Habs ('cause they're Canadian and not intolerable), my playoff pool (go Dallas and Pittsburg!), and the Wranglers. Ah well... guess I'll have lots of time to research for the Hottie Draft!

After one of the best and most competitve seasons in the west in NBA history, its kind of strange having a bunch of blowouts in the 1st rd like this, and it wasnt even close. What 6 games seperated Lakers 1st overall had 5 more wins then 8th overall Denver, and Denver was swept.

Lakers are bringing it home baby.

Agree that the NBA playoffs have been disappointing thus far. I was expecting the West to be a lot more competitive, and for the Sun/Spurs to go 7 games. The East remains uninterestng.

The 2nd Round match-ups look promising, but who knows.

Hawks! Hawks! Hawks!

Forget what I said about the first round not being exciting.
Hopefully Atlanta can at least keep it close at half time for their game 7, and it should make for an exciting game.

Yeah, the West matchups really didn't live up to their billing. Dallas was a huge disappointment, and so were the Suns.

In the East, since my favorite team is Orlando and I live in Toronto, made it interesting for me to hear all the Toronto homers who thought they had a better team than Orlando, and called Toronto in 5. Boston/Atlanta is turning out to be crazy though, I'm almost hoping the Hawks pull it off. Though that'll make 2 years in a row where Lebron will have an easy pass to the ECF.

Isn't it kind of odd to start round 2 on Saturday with round 1 not ending until Sunday? Guess the NBA doesn't want to give up the coveted Saturday time slots. What would the NHL do?

Anyone watch the New Orleans - San Antonio game? The whole fire extinguisher thing was kinda funny.

Hornets killed the Spurs again.

They were up by 15 with 1 minute left and still launching threes. In hockey there would be a brawl

Haha screw the Spurs... how much whining did the Spurs do to the refs tonight???

God I hate them, I hope the Hornets do even worse to that garbage team the next 2 games.

Not when you do it against the Spurs. That would be like running the score up against the Red Wings. You'd get other teams sending you gift baskets the next morning.

Such hatred for the almighty Spurs in here... why? And, whatever the reasons may be you have to give them credit for being a great team. I thank their team play as well as international basketball for bringing back a better game into the NBA instead of the b.s. one-man show type of game that it had become and still is to a certain extent.

Flopping. Complaining. That's why they irritate me.

However, others might dislike them because of their "boring" style of play. They don't have a single player that can dunk from the free throw line. There's also a striking lack of tattoos on the team. The bling-bling situation needs addressing too.

You nailed it, along with favorable reffing ALL THE TIME.
Bowen gets away with so much crap, it's disgraceful, and then the Spurs have audacity to cry like little girls every time the ref so much as DARES to call Duncan for a blatant foul.

I don't like the Lakers, but go Lakers.

Man, I was going for the Hornets in that series but now that the Spurs are playing the Fakeshow I am hoping it's a Celtics-Spurs final with the Celtics winning it all.

Wouldn't it be something if Boston went 16-0 at home and 0-12 on the road to win the championship, lol. So far they are 9-0 at home and 0-6 at home.

I like the Spurs. Seems to me, every NBA player whines after every call.

Why do NBA players have to high-five every team-mate after every free throw? What a waste of time.

Quite a comeback by Kobe and the Lakers. Down by 20 at one point in the second half, they come back and hold on for a four point lead. Should be a great series.

Strange to see the Spurs blow a 20 point lead in the 3rd. I think they proved they can take a game in LA, and I doubt LA can win a game in Texas.

Who are these Lakers? I haven't watched much NBA this year, but I didn't know any of these guys outside of Kobe, Gasol and Fisher.
