Yeah....and......
The Jags added them. My question is why? What are they going to do?
I wasn't making a case for the improvement of the team I despise above every other (save the Raiders).

Man I hope the Saints trade for Sheppard, much better guy for the money than Samuel. Surprised Philly isn't throwing gobs of cash at Moss rather than Asante, would give McNabb the best receiver he's ever had, oh well Eagles suck lol.

Moss has said several times that there's no way he's leaving the Pats. I really don't like the idea of moving Sheppard unless a stud WR is coming back the other way.

Granted it's not Sheppard, but Randall Gay is visiting the Saints tomorrow. He's a Louisiana boy who played for LSU, and I have a feeling he won't be leaving without a contract...

I CANNOT beleive we got a draft pick for Williamson. He's the most useless receiver ever!
Vikings added Thomas Tapeh, FB formely of Philly. I would have preferred Neal, who the Chargers released (for some reason???)

Chargers say Neal asked for his release, so they granted it.
There's gotta be a story there we aren't hearing.

Indy made qualifying offers to Ed Johnson as well as their 5 RFA's (notables including Utecht, Reid and Gandy).

Also LB Kawika Mitchell has signed with the Bills (was on the SB winning Giants last year).

I wasnt saying anything against you Displaced... I dont know what would motivate them to sign those receivers. The Jags receiving core was nothing great last year but this seems to be a lateral move regardless of who they get rid of.
I guess I could have added more to my post, but the point was - why the heck would they add these two?

You sure that wasnt just that mistake the Packers made the other day? They put up "Farve Retires" and then retracted it soon after.
Is this a new, confirmed report?

Haha the one time someone responds to my post in 30 seconds...Dammit, beat me to it just as I was going to edit it. My Packers buddy just emailed that to me with the link and everything, its probably the old one. I was trying to switch it before i got another blue square, please spare me!!
I had a link!! I had a li-iiink!!!

I know Samuel is a CB and Sanders is a safety but that makes me love the 5 year/37.5 M deal the Colts signed him to 2 months ago even more! With that being said, Samuel was one of the top free agents available this year. Eagles got a real good player. Who's the Patriots Left Cornerback now? Hobbs was their right cornerback last year and Samuel their left. Does Gay move into that spot for NE?

Gay is also a free agent and looks like he won't be back. I didn't know this but apparently Samuel has more interceptions since 2006 than anyone else in the NFL. 9 M/year sounds like a lot but I'd have to really wonder how much of that is guaranteed. I think it's still less than Clements got last year.
Another rumour going around now is Sheppard to Detroit for Williams. I'd rather do a package deal of Sheppard plus picks for Fitzgerald but we'll see.

Yeah i'm curious to see what they do. With Samuel gone, Gay being a free agent, and Harrison and Seau contemplating retirement, they have some holes to fill. Samuel is definately a very good CB and the Eagles landed one of the top free agents in this year's class.
OT: I'm not sure why we're not re-signing Jake Scott damnit!

I'd be shocked if they didn't take a WR in the first or second round. James Hardy and Limas Sweed both had solid combines, measuring in at 6'4" and 6'6" respectivle, and postind under 4.5 in 40 times. If the Eagles add Clemons from Oakland and are satisfied at DE, then the only other position in the first round that makes sense is WR.

According to the Two Minute Drill on channel 124. Jets have signed Faneca to a 4 year deal.
