Thanks pope! He's a good dog. He is pretty timid though, scared of his own shadow. 18 is a really long time for a dog, wow. Dexter is half way there at 9 years old.
RE: Springer Spaniel
Our first dog was a springer. She was a great dog, amazing personality.

Thanks for sharing, you guys. You look like you've got some great pets. Finner, you've got a couple of LOLcat shots.
I'll have to get motivated and post some shots of my dogs.

Thanks, I've been considering making one. Especially with two you seem to find them in pretty humourous situations.

So Hack & Lube, how long did it take you to get those birds to eat out of your hand. I have had two budgies in my time and I am apparently awful at training them. Got any tips to get them on your hand?

Hunger is your best friend. It might sound cruel but animals learn to trust the hand that feeds them. Don't leave food in the cage. Whenever it's feeding time, insist they eat from you or they don't get to eat at all. Over time, they will get used to you being their source of food.

I think you said it yourself. How about Feller!? Would suit you down to the ground and would be pretty unique.

Congrats Reg!!!
And, of course, how could there be any other name but Reggie!!
I know elderly people who are on their fourth golden retriever . . . . and he's "Charlie IV," the latest in a line of Charlies . . . . which might allow you to retain the name of your former bestest buddy.
Have fun . . . . puppies are little terrorists though.

Yeah, tell me about it.
Right now, his name is "Buster." That, of course, is subject to change.
