I keep hearing it too, but looking at the stats and tiebreaker rules it doesn't make sense. I have no explanation for it...most likely if NFL.com has it as they are eliminated that is correct, I just don't see how.

Okay nevermind I forgot to factor in one thing:
Minnesota (8-6) plays Washington (7-7) next week!
If Minnesota wins they're 9-7...Philly's out because of record.
If Minnesota loses that means Washington wins, so the worst Washington could be is 8-8. Washington's 8-8 against Philly's 8-8 measures out like this..
- split head-2-head games
- division games they tie at 2-4
- Washington would have better conference record at worst 6-6 vs Philly's at best 5-7...

Happy to see Philly eliminated, hopefully some of their vets shut it down for the Saints game.

Not going to happen. Saints are in for a dog fight because McNabb and some of the other vets are basically playing for their jobs next year.

Taylor defintley deserved a spot on the AFC team.
Very happy to see Saturday, Manning, Wayne, Addai, Sanders on the team, all very deserving especially Bob who should get some consideration for defensive player of the year

Mario Williams got screwed over. He has more tackles and more sacks then Taylor and Vanden Bosch, yet he wasn't good enough to make it? Ridiculous.

Yep. Trent Cole and Aaron Kampman got snubbed in the NFC. Ray Lewis getting voted in is a joke. Hasselbeck going over Garcia and Brees is ridiculous.

I'm happy Patrick Willis made it. He was awesome out there. On a poor team like the 49ers sometimes the players are overlooked, especially rookies.

Willis has had an unbelievable rookie season. Definitely won't be the last time he makes the trip to Hawaii.

How do they determine the coach for the pro bowl, is it the coach of the Superbowl Champions? If the NFC does the start with 10 player thing as a hommage to Sean Taylor to start the game....I can see Bellichik running a playaction play and going for a long bomb on a post pattern on that first play of the game to take advantage of one less safety.

Taylor had a good year but who does he replace on the team?
He has much worse numbers than LT, worse numbers than both Addai and Parker. His team isn't any better than the three above so it isn't as though he has helped his team out more than those guys.
Taylor has 4 TD's and basically no receptions. Those others guys all have better running stats and kill him receivingwise as well. He had a good year but was left off the roster because the three guys who made it clearly had better seasons than him

Well I am glad to see I am not the only one who could see him doing that.

Lifetime achievement award for Taylor?
If stats and record were the only two indicators, Colston would at least be on the roster, if not a starter over Holt.
BTW, the Pro Bowl coaches are the losers of the conference championship games.
