Can you please tell me why it matters to the online poker site who wins? The site makes money from every hand no matter what. The site takes a little money from the pot, just like they do in Casinos. It makes no sense for them to do this on any level that I can see.
Can you please explain why they would do this? I am very curious to see your opinions on the matter.

Well if someone is winning alot of money, then suddenly your bot takes it all. Then your bot has the money. Then you have the money. Suddenly your rake goes from 2% (or whatever it is) to effectively 200% due to the fact that your bot is getting far more into the pot than normally would be, and winning it.
They were stealing it, plain and simple. And if anyone complained or stuff got wierd, they would restart under a new name the next day.

and highly made up. I doubt any of the larger sites would risk their part of the $7.3B per year online gambling pie to steal a couple hundred bucks when they make that in seconds.
Not to mention all the obvious legal aspects of doing this.
I guess if you were on a site that was operated by 1 person and had 10 people playing this might happen. And if that is the case, I guess you should find a back alley to play three card montey or whatever it is called in.

What's so surprising about cheating occuring with online poker? Poker and cheating go together like hookers and blow. What would be surprising is if there wasn't cheating going on.

Wow, this is total bull****.
I've played against bots (actual bots, not made up bots like you're imagining). They suck at poker. Easy to exploit.
The rake is 5% up to $3 by the way.

Bots who can see your pocket cards would be near impossible to beat. I could probably code one in less than a week, even given my limited free time.
At any rate, I dont care if anyone believes me. I trust the guy who told me, and thats what matters. If you don't then that is fine, you can keep playing poker, because it is clearly obvious from this post that getting screwed by people operating these sites NEVER happens.
