Do they side with him, or is there not enough evidence? Like with the OJ murder trial- the jurors thought he was likely guilty, but there were enough holes to cast reasonable doubt.
I'm trying to remember the wording of the article, but something along the lines of "there wasn't enough evidence provided by the Kenyan gov't."

Alnoor, seems like he has the best chance for the ABB campaign.
Although he wont win.

Well this is about as close as I can find. You can view all of the candidates responses to the questionnaire, and also view the better calgary endorsements. (Incidentally they endorsed Alnoor Kassam for Mayor)

Am I the only one who thinks that building the C-Train underground in the downtown core would be a HUGE money sucker? It would costs billions. Once all the stations are upgraded to handle 4 cars it should solve a lot of problems. Yes, downtown would still be a bottleneck but with the money they save they could easily build a East-West LRT line.

That website actually endorses Bronco for mayor, "with reservations"

I don't mind Jenkins but I doubt his Downtown LRT plans are very realistic. Kassam is definitely out of the question with his shady background. So until someone capable is actually gonna come out to run for mayor, Bronco's still the best of the worst for now,. "better the devil you know..."

I just don't want to pay taxes on entertainment, like my Flames season's. I am not sold on Alnoor or Jenkins, but I guess it has to be one of them, since my vote would seem wasted on 19 yr old Jeremy Zhao.

You are right, I think it would easily cost billions too. But right now it can barely handle the amount of traffic from 3 lines, and there's talk of adding 3 more lines. (West, North, and SE)
I wonder what it would cost to pay CPR (or whoever it is) to take over the tracks and land between 9th and 10th aves. There's already underpasses for the cars there.
I also wonder- today we say "why didn't they continue underground back in 1980. Would have saved 100's of millions of dollars." In the year 2027, will we be saying "why didn't we do that in 2007? Would have saved billions of dollars."

A synopsis of the All-Candidates that I read said that he has scrapped all of those taxes...then again I am not at all opposed to user pay taxes...
IIRC, it was in Rick Bell's column today. The guy can be a total loon, but usually is pretty to the point.

Jenkins idea for the downtown LRT is a pipe dream. It would be so incredibly expensive and it would only provide a little bit of relief.
For the Bronco haters out there, can you explain why you think he should be ousted? I blame a lot of the things that have gone awry in Calgary on its rapid growth, not the mayor. He's taken some steps in the right direction (maybe a little too much emphasis on roads), but I think he's been a good mayor and I will probably vote to re-elect him.
Or maybe I'll vote for Jeremy Zhao (one of my peers - U of C Eng.)

### - add me to the Jenkins bandwagon. Bronco is a whiny idiot, and Alnoor an admitted criminal for bribery.
Time for fresh ideas.

I would prefer to see the European-style trams sharing the road with cars on 7 avenue and possibly beyond. I imagine that this would create a real carnage, though.

I sure hope there are more inspiring candidates for everything in Calgary than there are in Edmonton. This will be the first election of any kind I am not voting in since I turned 18.

I like Bronco's roadway initiatives, even if they are taking forever to finish. My driving experience has improved under his regime, and really the only thing I care about with a Mayor is how he/she has improved my daily routine. Bronco has done that, and thus, gets my vote.

I really hope Zhao continues to pursue politics. While I think he'd be largely ineffective and probably over his head right now, he's got some good ideas and a solid idea of how to achieve them. At least that's the impression I got from his website.
Poor kid won't win though.

I'm voting for the first guy that shows up at my door dressed as a mime, and can pantomime his campaign platform so that I can understand it.
That person, ladies and gentlemen would have my vote.
