Ya McKinnon was last man back and made a feeble attempt at the puck. Right after Makar made an ill advised, absolute must win the puck if you’re gonna pinch kind of pinch. All initiated by a play where mcdavid has to force a save or a whistle on that rush.

There's enough history there for it to be a thing.

Only time that was different was in a gimmicky 4 team tournament when he did nothing until being teed up in the slot.

That is not how 3v3 is win in NHL games, so why the hell would we do it here.

Hockey Canada needs a complete gut from top to bottom to get some fresh ideas into the organization.

Not sure how much you can really coach 3v3 in a short tournament like this. Pretty sure he didn't say "go 1 on 3 whenever possible" nor should he need to say "don't got 1 on 3 whenever possible"

Said it all week but this, like the 4 Nations experience has cemented the fact the McDavid will want to go chase cups somewhere else that has this same sort of winning positive vice, sooner than later. His 2 year contract is well setup for this, not by coincidence and the Oilers fully know that.

But his request to move and get the Oilers exploring a trade could come this summer now instead of next.
