Just remembered an Ed Whalen story.

I was a young waiter serving him at a banquet. When I put his prime rib in front of him, he exclaimed “I can’t eat this - it’s far too rare!”

One of the other people at the table said it’s prime rib Ed, it’s supposed to be rare. Whalen said that was easy for him to say, his was closer to medium-rare. I asked the other guy if he thought Ed’s prime rib looked okay, and he said yes. So I swapped their plates.

Whalen’s jaw dropped open. But everyone else at the table had a good laugh, and so he went along with it.

When I told my manager, she said “you did WHAT?” I was 18 and didn’t know any better.

I’ve actually written a song called “We’re Having A Party Ed Whelan (And You’re Not Invited).” A tribute to Ed and Stampede Wrestling.

Sounds like you nailed it to me. Maybe your manager wanted the send back for himself.

I don't even understand how half the forum can have multiple accounts.

When you sign up on this site, it makes you give your full contact information, a work email, and give the link to multiple social media accounts. Are we seriously suggesting that all these people are signing up fake emails, creating fake social media accounts, and doing an immense amount of work just to have a second account?

I'm a Don Cherry fan and have been for years. Don is a product of his generation and nothing more. I really don't feel he deserves some of the condemnation he has received but this is the world we live in today.

Jordan! had several names. He was originally Jordan, then become CalgaryFlames (and some other ones I can't remember) and finally went back to Jordan, but this time with the added ! (which was a little touch from yours truly).

Few people know that at one point loooooob actually had exactly 12 o's to match his jersey number

Wasn't Bertuzzied changed to Kobatuzzied after losing a bet or something, then it got switched back eventually?

My original name back in the pre-2001 FOI days was Squid. Then when the forum switched over to CalgaryPuck, I signed up as Skoda. At some point I requested to change my handle to FlamesAddiction. That was so long ago, I can't even remember when.
