Yea that was me. Both guys have one 20 goal season in the last three years, both guys have 1 40 point season in the last three years. One guy has averaged 0.517 PPG in the last three years and one has averaged 0.508 PPG the last three years. I compared them.

Honestly, the Yamamoto comparison doesn’t seem that far off…

How about the size and speed?

How about PK/PP Time?

Well Yamamoto has a one year contract for 3.1 million. Have to see what Yegor signs for. Probably less, maybe 700K less or so.

I agree. Players have egos, and coming off a year where he led the team in scoring, maybe naively thought he should be prioritized more than he was.

They fired a coach he endorsed, too.

To me his response gave credence to all of this.

Not the ideal return but I don’t know much about the player we got. I would say somewhat underwhelming and not ideal for the first Conroy trade but I hope to be proven wrong.

Sharangovich put up 0.51PPG while buried in NJ.

Yamamoto has faceplanted while getting McDrai time.

That's a laughable comparison.

Then again, never expect an Oiler fan to know #### all about a player on a team that the Oilers don't play frequently.

To add - time with McJesus and Draisaitl versus no time with them??

It’s actually sad how little Yam has produced with the amount of time he’s spent with the wonder twins.

Big. Yup

Strong. I have no idea.

Young. Sort of.

Two way. I don't think Jersey saw him that way as his usage dropped off once he fell out of the top six. His xgf% was bottom of the pack for Jersey forwards.

Sniper. I would be hesitant to label a player with one 20+ goal season as a sniper, but maybe he will prove it.

Excellent PK. Seems like Jersey really liked him there. I wouldn't argue with that.

Toffoli served us well here and has returned a pick and a prospect with some apparent potential. We also need the cap space.
Unfortunately, he is 31 and looking for (and deserving) a contract of the kind that just doesnt fit with what is ahead for this team.
this is the first of a few moves (at least).
I just dont think its a terrible start at all

One guy averaged 37 second a game on the PP and 1:28 on the PK

Other guy got 5 seconds a game on the PP and 2 minutes a game on the PK.

5'8" shrimp winger vs. 6'2" versatile forward.

Yeah, huge similarities.

Just have to squint until tears distort your vision.

I’m taking the big man who’s aggressive with his size and stick. Clutch around the net and a very deceptive shot. Skates well for a 6”2 200 player.
