I don’t think he’s a bad player , but certainly not an impact maker. Great guy to have on a value contract and the type of player desperate teams overpay for
I had to take a double take of what Coleman's contract was after this head scratcher of a post. He is getting paid 4.9M and has scored 3g + 3a = 6pts in 15 games. He has been great defensively helping pk and plays 200ft game consistently. He was not paid top dollars and is doing exactly as expected if not more.

Other than the Montreal game they've played well enough this road trip. Hopefully whomever is in charge of overtime video notices that although possession is important 3 on 3 there is a danger zone where possession almost always leads to 2-1 rushes which not surprisingly isn't ending well.

I'd like to see Ruzicka instead of Richardson as the 4C

Any infusion of skill would help.

Terrible take, more to hockey than points

Guy saved a goal with 25 seconds left in a game the PK went 6 for 6. He is a big part of the leagues 2nd best goals against.

We don't get a point tonight without Coleman.
Very strange game to make him the object of complaint.

If you expect him to lead the way offensively though then you'll undoubtedly be let down. Not what he is.
Exactly. Quoted for truth.

Yep. He plays defense hard and hits and agitates.

(Really the solution is a 3-2-1 points system but nhl is too stubborn to do that)
It is a loser point and it shouldn’t exist IMO.

The answer is either ties or to have a winner and a loser each game. The NHL needs to stick with how the games are decided and live with it. Other sports can figure it out, but this league is so worried about keeping teams in a playoff race as long as possible.

It’s a binary thing. Two teams play with a winner and a loser or no one wins. That’s what I love about sports personally.

Game Takes: Flyers 2 Flames 1 (OT)

- Gaudreau electric tonight
- PK game stealers killing 6/6
- Kylington gets a point
- Flames can't win in overtime

A 102 point pace which under the old system comfortably made the playoffs. But it would be a lot of ties.

Coleman has been decent enough and I'm really not worried about his scoring. It'll come. Reminds me of Derek Ryan early in his tenure. Just needs to find his groove and the goals will happen in bunches.

Pitlick, though ... woof. He's really not very good at anything. Think he might be waiver fodder at some point.

It's going to be hilarious when the flames are a 100 point team with some absurd record like 38-20-24

These overtime losses just seem like they are going to haunt us later in the season. Even winning one more they still under .500 in OT and would be sitting in first

Flames used to be dominant in ot and Johnny was a huge reason for that but so were Gio and Brodie. Kylington needs to start with Johnny in OT. The kid just keeps getting better and better every night. He might be the fastest dman in the league

Nightly reminder the Flames had more wins than the cup finalists last season. These points count.

In the playoffs these games go to 5 on 5 OT

Damn we suck in OT.

Of note the 2011-12 Cup Champion Kings went 40-27-15.

But they don't have eight losses

Loss and OTL are different in the NHL

21 points of 32

Do the math
