Markstrom the only reason we got a point to be honest. Philadelphia had an expected goal mark at 4.66.

If Demko was in net we likely lose this 5-1.

They are on a 107 point pace, doesn’t matter how they got there. At the end of the year will they look back at these loser points and be thankful or rue the fact that they didn’t pick up the W a little more often. That will depend entirely on how they play from here but with their record through 60 minutes, you’d like to see them have a couple more wins than they do.

our OT PP used to start with Gio on the point. Andersson is not Gio. The line also stayed out there way too long, Johnny was just gassed.

They have earned those points...in 16 games the Flames have at worst been within one goal in the third. Never blown out.

Coleman has overall been a positive for this team.

If you expect him to lead the way offensively though then you'll undoubtedly be let down. Not what he is.

Age well? It already looks like the overpay most people predicted and were 20 games into the 1st season of the contract

I don’t think he’s a bad player , but certainly not an impact maker. Great guy to have on a value contract and the type of player desperate teams overpay for

I love how “If Demko was in net” has become a regular thing here

I never said otherwise. But elite players have instincts that go beyond what you're coached to do.

I am saying Andersson is a #4D miscast as a #1 on this team.

I am not pinning the gwg on any of the individuals on the ice.

If you ask me, this loss is on Sutter. But maybe he's intentionally not overcoaching in the regular season because he has a cushion in the standings. I recall him saying something like "he doesn't actually coach until the playoffs" once.

Coleman was brought in for us to win the cup....

He is Bennett but with rings.

If Demko was in net we still would've lost.

Part of making a big save is controlling the rebound. He was square to the shooter and kicked the rebound right to Atksinson. I don't think Markstrom has been a difference maker in OT.

Yeah that’s a lazy play by Johnny, they should have changed as a unit instead of even trying that last rush they were already tired.

Andersson is Just A Guy.
Brodie and Gio were great, but c’mon let’s not act like they never got scored on during a 2-1 before.

Anderson played pass, and the hard rebound went right onto Atkinsons stick, nobody was closing down the rebound in that scenario.

He's really good on the PK. We all knew he was overpaid the moment the contract is signed but he's one of those players that is doing good things when he's not scoring. I think he's been pretty decent and it's a matter of finding a better line for him to play on.

Haha I am trying to make it a thing.

Honestly surprised nobody is talking about Markstrom. He had a great game. Stole a point.

And a bad 3 on 3 team means virtually nothing. Certainly virtually nothing come playoff time.

They have played well enough in 13 of 16 games in regulation to notch a point. Thats very good and should be commended, not reaching for a narrative to crap on them or devalue their solid place in the standings.
