Darryl is not telling ANYONE to dump and chase.
He’s telling them to make smart offensive blue line decisions.
Turnovers there are killers...oft time leading to odd man rushes.
How many odd man rushes has the opposition had in the last 3 games?
Players make the decision as to whether they have the time and space to carry it in...or not. He’s not telling them to dump and chase.....he wants good decisions.

Everyone saying they didn't see James Neal tonight.
I definitely saw him, he had a big scoring chance and missed the net.

I think what's important isn't whether he's telling them to dump or not.
It's the fact that he's getting them to actually chase.
That's something that was absent for a long time.

When he starts staring down his defenders, its just a matter of time before he implodes for a while.

One of the terrific things about the silent rink - other than hearing the players swearing at each other LOL - is also hearing a couple of forwards approaching the blue line and one of them chipping the puck and yelling to the other just before they do..."Go...go". Excellent communication so the other forward knows what's up and going to happen!

I love the work rate of the team now. Much more relentless in 50/50 battles. It wasn't a perfect game but I liked a lot of what I saw, and you have to be able to squeak out some close games sometimes. Lots of promising signs. The challenge for Sutter will be to keep these guys going like this over the long haul, this must feel like a grueling level of play for some of these guys.

Tkachuk has more points this season than Neal did in his entire season with the Flames including playoffs
Tkachuk can play better but don't be ridiculous

I guarantee that is a major emphasis.
Communication. Let your voice be your teammates’ eyes. It doesn’t cost anything to talk and help your teammates.

Totally agree with Darryl's summary. Fits and starts but kept at it. Lots to teach and learn. What a pleasure to hear his takes on the games. Love the guy.

Watched some slo-motion replays of that last shot from Puljujarvi on NHL.com. Sure looked like it had a good chance of going post and in if Markstrom doesn’t get it with his blocker. Clutch save to preserve the regulation win.

Love that Sutter said in the post-game presser that Lindholm still has another gear. Just how good can he be?
