Hey, it’s Brad. How can I assist in you getting DeAngelo traded to the Oilers?

I could see teams reaching out to see how bad the Rangers want their problem to go away. Might as well see what they are willing to give as a sweetner. Chances are he sits because he is an easy contract to buyout due to his age.

Yeah, I was thinking maybe they’d send a pick with him to a team that could sit him. But he so easy to buy out in the off season it wouldn’t be worth it.

We have seen the potential but his consistency has been a problem. I still think he blossoms into a top six pwf. I think your points relate to regular season Sam. Even then his shot has velocity. Who has been able to consistently pass to? Aka who have been his line mates most often? I have seen him play well with Johnny. I see him as a player who looks to do too much himself. The flames have botched his development by his usage. I’m not surprised our player development hasn’t been spectacular. We can’t developers goalies and fwds. None of our forwards are consistent game breakers. Maybe monny and Johnny are good 3 v 3 game breakers. To me this team isn’t going anywhere with them as a top line. I want this team to win. To win in the playoffs takes desire and sacrifice. Which flame other than Bennett’s exudes this when the chips are down? This team as it is composed will never beat a Dallas or a St. Louis or a Vegas or even Colorado.
I get it. People are disappointed in his lack of progression. Like I said earlier he’s polarizing. But bennys pwfd potential is tantalizing. Players like him are difficult to develop and obtain.
This guy gets tarred and feathered while monohan keeps his seat on the top line and eats up top pp 1 time. Monohan is very bland. Sure he has a nose for an in close snipe but that guy doesn’t fight for ice. He’s so passive. This team isn’t going anywhere with that guy as our number one center. I just feel that Benny has been miscast in our line up of perimeters players.
Plus our management won’t spring for top level coaching. This constrains development. GG and Ward are really cheap hires. You invest how much in a team? Salaries, insurance, facilities, but coaching seems to be an after thought with this organization. Hire a real coach and keep the guys that leave their guts on the ice every night.

Lol GTFO here with this take. Monahan is 100x the player Bennett is today in literally every way. There is no statistically relevant evidence at all that what you say is the case. Why do you hate Monahan so much?

Monahan has been using his body, digging pucks, making passes and playing defensively way better this year, and certainly better than Bennett. Monahan will never be crushing people with his, but he’s been way more aggressive. He looks bigger this year.

He’s not 100x the player at all. He’s a one trick pony. I don’t hate him. It’s hockey. It’s entertainment. And “GTFO”? Nice.
I dislike his style of play is all. IMO guys like him only win riding shotgun. He’s a nail not a hammer.
He’s a good complimentary player who’s had the virtue of playing with a dynamic water bug in Johnny hockey. Why do you think people were ready to send him to Columbus for Mr. Never scored more than 20 PLD?
I’m not alone and stand by my assessment. The guy is baby s@$? Soft. He’s part of the reason for the flames being labeled soft by so many.
No statistical evidence? Erm look at the play off record. How many one and dones? How many times has this group got past the first round?

Sure he looks a bit better in his compete on the boards and in the defensive end. But let’s see if it sticks. Haha more aggressive than what? Being nearly listless? The guy can barely skate as a number one center. He has no agility nor grit. And he isn’t elite offensively save for his ability to raise pucks.

Lol, baby soft.
I am 100000% certain that Monahan would lay a lickin' on you that you would probably never recover from.

At what? A physical altercation? You know nothing about me. Make it happen then big man. Set it up. We can take bets with all proceeds going to the therapy for the monohan fans who seem to be hurt by my suggestions.

Same guy who claims Bennett is a PO beast uses the same win-loss for Monahan. You’ve got it in for Monahan above any other player. Not sure why.
ETA: You sure LOVE to post about Monahan.

I don’t like his game. He’s a first line player on my favourite team. He isn’t above reproach. My favourite team isn’t going anywhere with this group.
Ok look at his ev strength production? How many has his line scored This year? Last? The guy doesn’t have the fight in him to be a dominant player. He’s a secondary player on a good team. He’s a pp specialist who would be better suited to wing. Let a good skating player line up with Johnny. Centres have the most responsibility on a line and need the wheels to keep up. Mackinnon? Mcdavid? Matthews? Even Suzuki outclasses him. Scheifle is far superior to monohan.
I know it’s difficult to find a number one center and is the reason why the flames tried to get PLD. Monohan is masquerading as a number one center.
I don’t care for him nor for a lot of our line up. We aren’t a very well constructed team. Treliving has struggled to build a solid group capable of playing hockey deep into the playoffs. He is good at getting players to sign below market values. The trades have been decent. But his coaching carousel and his free agents aside from his two this year have been notably bad.

Uh not true at all. If anything the guy has compete and physicality. He can drive the net. He generates more high danger chances on his own without a guy like Johnny. He may be snake bit. But give him the leash they give monny and he probably blossoms faster.

You don’t care for him “nor a lot of our lineup”. Yet you post only about Monahan, who’s played probably the most consistent hockey out of the entire forward group this year.
Suzuki? Come on.

I wish I could, alas, I do not know him.
I am guessing from your internet bluff charge and huffing and puffing you wouldn't show up if I could though.

This is just patently, blatantly false. Sam Bennett has not been "snake bit" for four years. He is a below average scoring forward who can make useful contributions in other aspects of the game, and that is about it.
