3rd (Conditional to increase on Calgary Winning in playoffs, becomes first with 2 rounds won)
2nd (Conditional on Stone re-signing becomes first)
 Kylington
 Dube
Frolik (Cap & gives Ott a warm body under contract next season getting them to the floor)
 |
This is close but there has to be a guaranteed 1st imo.

Kylington has played some right side apparently. Though I'd think on the bottom pairing left-right means less than best players available.

I am. We can prorate and minutes per until the cows come home but Rasmus has more points.

That is still one of the better defensive groups in the league and all it needs is 2 solid veteran guys signed for cheap to play #6 and #7.

Zuccharello got hurt in his first game with the stars today. That's some bad luck right there.

Yeah, this sort of talk is what makes following sports fun. Never understood people who hate speculation -- what would you rather talk about? Ice thickness?

Probably not, but has anyone mentioned losing Kylington in the Seattle expansion draft yet? How about trading Neal to Ottawa?

If the following are the teams still realistically looking to add forwards:
 Winnipeg
 Calgary
 San Jose
 Vegas
 Nashville

And these teams probably shouldn't, but likely will add:
 Montreal, Vancouver, NYI, Buffalo, Boston

Then there are enough players available to either collapse the market completely tomorrow or turn this into an all out war of everyone ramping up.

I see the following players traded in the next 24 hours regardless of the Stone situation (and I dont think they will set off a chain reaction):
 1. Hayes
 2. Simmonds
 3. Johansson

I see the following players traded only if Stone is also traded and the 4 remaining listed teams feel they need to respond:
 1. Stone
 2. Panarin
 3. Staal
 4. Kreider?
 5. Nyquist
 6. Any others??

 Two thoughts:

 1. Based on this, TSN will either be super bored, or it will be in both the acquiring team and Ottawa's best interest to wait until the last second to limit your competitors ability to respond.
 2. I think Kelkalainen has completely gone all in knowing he doesn't have a job if Columbus does not go on a run, but he has completely jammed the market rather than getting low value for Panarin. My analogy would be that he was dealt a crappy hand with a giant stack and a wife nagging him to leave the Casino. Rather than cashing out he came to Vegas (or Ottawa in this case) to get rich..
