You seem to be ignoring the fact that Hartley has to put players into positions they shouldn't be in based on the number of top caliber forwards this team has.

When this roster is ready for prime time Joe (or someone like him) will be in a 3rd or 4th line role where they belong...guys are being asked to play above their heads so don't be surprised when they struggle at times

Yeah, I'm not sure what these positions actually are - except maybe the one or two game experiment on the top line (and I can see the theory on that one). I don't disagree with putting him in the second power play unit to stand in front of the net. Other than that, he's been a third or fourth line winger.
