By all accounts, it sounds like this school was as diverse as they come. If you can manage to be an outcast in that environment, then there is seriously something wrong with you to begin with.
Although, there are no confirmed reports that the shooters were students.

That society produces troubled youths is of little consolation to someone who has to bury a son or daughter.

How do you know that? We don't know anything about these guys right now except that they opened fire on a bunch of innocent people. We don't even know if they were social outcasts.
Even if they were, there is not justification for this and they deserve no sympathy. My sympathy only goes out to those who are outcasts and don't go killing innocent people in revenge.

Several students were injured and two gunmen were killed inside Dawson College, Montreal, Canada, the administration office confirmed in a recorded message.

The point I'm trying to make is that it does not help to play the blame game. You want to place the blame on these two delinquents. Fine. But what does that solve? Absolutely nothing. I'm just trying to think of ways to progress after this, and prevent it from happening again.
Obviously, there is hardly any consolation to be had for having to bury a son or daughter -- thanks for that low blow.

Bull ****.
I don't care what kind of social outcast you are, you don't open fire like that. The innocent people that you are shooting have families and people that care about them.
I have lots of anger and rage every day of my life, but I would never ever grab a gun and shot random people. You can't justify it at all.

But you CAN play the blame game. They walked into a schooland started shooting kids. Its their fault. THEY ARE TO BLAME.

CBCnewsworld reports 11 patients total. A few in surgery, a few in pre-surgery, and a few stable.
Edit: Those were the victims, which didn't include the one gunmen that was shot which would bring the total to 12 being shot.

And from CNN @ 1439...
Quote:
At least four people are dead and 13 wounded after a shooting at college in downtown Montreal. A recorded message at the college said two gunmen were killed, but police would confirm only one dead shooter.

Obviously you are speculating. For the sake of argument, let's just say that the gunmen were desperate or angry: Don't you think that there are options other than killing people?

I know a perfect way to address them.
Are they holding a gun? Big sniper rifle, one cop, bang, problem solved.
I simply cannot find sympathy for idiots like these gunmen.

Relief, perhaps? Release of nervous tension? It is strange, but who knows why people react like they do in those circumstances?

Is there any word on what kind of firearms were used?
My first thought was "Thank God Canada doesn't allow assault rifles". Then I realized that I wasn't sure that was true. Or that the gunmen DIDN'T use full automatic weapons illegal or not.
I would love to see all handguns and fully automatic weapons banned in Canada. I think Scotland did this after a schoolyard shooting Dunblane where several children were killed.
I know that it is impossible to keep firearms out of the hands of crazies, but it is a heck of a lot harder to take out large numbers of people when you are using a single shot weapon instead of something that can fire dozens of rounds a second.

I guess. My belief is maybe they didn't know the magnitude of the situation at that point....
