Didnt someone put Tell No One in a list?
I watched the french version. I liked it, but would not have it ranked so high.

Excellent call, possibly the best scene in cinematic history. Oh and to the people who've recommended The Color of Money, be sure to check out The Hustler as well, for the first appearance of "Fast" Eddie Felson. It's a great movie, also featuring a fantasic performance from Jackie Gleason.

Another great movie of his which would probably be in my top 50 would be Road to Perdition (as wood the Sting). You can honestly never go wrong with anything Paul Newman has done.

I included Raise the Red Lantern in mine.

I am also upset that my troll (Human Centipede as an honourable mention) went unchallenged.

Empire Strikes Back. Took a great movie, and made it everything it is now, and ever has been.

Groundhog Day. Best Bill Murray movie ever. I've never thought longer, or harder about another movie ever. Why has no one mentioned this? Cause it's also the most underrated movie ever.

Conan the Barbarian. Best Arnold Schwarzenegger movie. Avoided cliche dork that fantasy movies can often get mired in, and presented a world I was compelled by.

Fight Club. Unique. At least it was when I first watched it. And that is often what counts.

Goodfellas. What can I say? I prefer Pepsi over Coke. Megadeth over Metallica. This movie made me see why people wanted to be a mobster. Better done than Donnie Brasco, easier to watch than The Godfather. Riveting.

At least, that's what it is now. The bottom two can change from hour to hour. And probably will.

No, I noticed that as well as people putting in several others, so bonus points for you. I also was just ignoring Human Centipede in the hopes that it was a troll job.

Ha! I only had one English film in my top 5. Now I just feel pretentious.

Goodfellas
Taxi Driver
A Bridge too Far

Also features a soundtrack and score by Ennio Morricone who is legendary (for instance, wrote the iconic soundtrack for The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly). My wife walked down the aisle to this piece:

If you haven't yet seen it, it's an absolute must watch for any cinephile.
This film is a MASTERPIECE, still haunts me to this day, the score in the film is incredible, the story is amazing, and the acting wow.

1. Infernal Affairs (Original Chinese version of Departed)
2. Once Upon a Time in China (the story of Wong Fei Hung)
3. Ip Man (kicking Japanese ass on film since the 90s)
4. Young and Dangerous (glorification of HK triads)
5. Future Cops (Any film where Guile from Street Fighter is used to sweep a room is tops in my mind)

Bonus: Most films by Stephen Chow in the 90s.

Another excellent list. Live of Others is a truly chilling film. Not to get too political, but one only has to watch that film to understand why Snowdon should be considered a patriot in the U.S. and not a traitor.

Except that all of these become instantly some of the best movies when dubbed with Riff Trax. When a movie is so bad it becomes laughable, the reverse happens and it starts to become great, but it usually takes time.

Edit: I see you called them "worst best", and not just worst. My apologies.

I think what put it over the top for me was Cluzet's performance.
