1. Raiders of the Lost Ark
2. Lawrence of Arabia (constantly goes back and forth for my top spot)
3. The Untouchables
4. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
5. Jaws
Others in consideration: Face/Off, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Saving Private Ryan, The Empire Strikes Back, Zodiac, Amadeus, One Flew Over the ####oos Nest, Cool Hand Luke, Rear Window, Last of the Mohicans, Goodfellas, JFK, Se7en, Vertigo, North by Northwest, Dial M For Murder, The Bridge on the River Kwai, Die Hard, LA Confidential, The Godfather: Part II, Back to the Future, Leon, Schindler's List, Jurassic Park, 12 Angry Men, and I suppose Drive as a more recent movie.
I guess I have a hard-on for Spielberg. I wouldn't have even had Jaws in my top ten, but after watching it a few times this past week I would actually bump Saving Private Ryan out of my top five.

^ Same for your list. Although I've never actually seen Gandhi; I've always meant to, but have never gotten around to it for some reason. Maybe it's because I've lost some respect for Kingsley over the years, which probably isn't a fair thing to say I suppose. Did he really have to do Bloodrayne?

5. Pulp Fiction
I had to fight very hard to keep the 3:10 to Yuma remake off this list!

Paul Haggis one I assume, not David Cronenberg?
The Canadian Crash has its own merits for being up there. Cult classic. Really pushed the limits for what I could watch. Got me into strange movies like Gummo and Bully and Trees Lounge.

Ben can do no wrong for me. Watch Gandhi and you won't be disappointed. He is a true master actor in that film.
If you need more convincing he was also Itzhak Stern in Schindler's List, George Méliès in Hugo, Cosmo in Sneakers, Behrani in House of Sand and Fog, and Don Logan in Sexy Beast.
The guy just loves to act and rarely says no. I don't blame him for being a working actor.

I remember seeing it for the first time when I was like 11 or 12. That and the breakfast scene from Bitter Moon were my first real exposure to nudity, thanks Showcase!
It is a really good movie though, which is why I was legitimately asking. Cronenberg is a great director.
This is tough, I'm sure I'll forget a great film, but off the top of my head my list would be:
A Clockwork Orange
Pi
Eraserhead
The Grapes of Wrath
The Elephant Man
Notables: There will be Blood, The Skin I Live in, All Kubrick films.
Holy #### what a great list, although I've still never seen Eraserhead. All subversive as hell though. There Will Be Blood just missed out on my top 5.

Thanks! Oh man you should... It is a bit hard to find, but I really enjoy it. It's a great escape from reality as well.

The myhtos and phsycology and the direct link between traumatic experiences like car crashes and sex was a tough nut to crack. Cronnenberg did it brilliantly IMO.
It's a little morbid but insanely cool that they recreated James Deans crash.
The Mercedes Benz dealership scene was crazy. Trying to get it on in the dealership with those clunky leg braces was a sight lol.
A little bit of that and Holly Hunter and Deborah Kara Unger at the time were sultry in that film.
