Now is a touchy time to build however. Intel's Haswell processor line was announced for launch on June 2nd today, and both ATI and NVIDIA have new cards coming out in the next few months.
Basically, the same parts will be cheaper in 4-5 months, and newer parts at the same price point will be available.

And then the same thing in another 4-5 months. It's technology, if you hold out to buy at cheaper prices because of new tech coming out, you'll end up in an endless cycle of not buying anything.

Bull####. There's typically a 12-18 month cycle. Not a 4-5 month cycle.
Thanks for the info guys. If there really is a price drop on the horizon maybe I'll hold off. Will give them time to work all the bugs out of the game too I guess.

And for the reviews to come out It looks awesome, but I've read this script before. It looks tremendous, but I am remaining cautious about my expectations and the outcome.
Unfortunately, even the public beta this weekend is pretty ironclad against publicly discussing the game, otherwise I'd give a mini-review for those interested.
Pretty much all we're allowed to do is acknowledge we're in the beta.

Is that an enthusiastic acknowledgement of being in the beta?

Yeah. Turns out, NVidia's Facebook page is giving away 1000 keys a day this week. I got stiffed both Monday and Tuesday because they start it at weird times (about 5 minutes before or after 10:30 AM Calgary time), and all keys were gone in literally 3 minutes. Today I was prepped and had a Chrome extension that auto-reloaded the giveaway page, and caught it right when it went online.
