Not really DSLR but..
Dad was clearing out the storage room, found his old camera.
Minolta Maxxum 7000 from 1987. It was his graduation present. He used it for less than a year. Pretty much brand new. I started my photography class earlier this week and I'm thinking of using it for my projects. Any idea on how much this would be worth?
....photography class??? back in my day we had math, calculus, chemistry, physics.....
Photography is an elective. I'm also taking Math, English, and Science 10 this semester. Grade 10's must take 8 mandatory classes and 2 electives. I could have taken Biology 20, but that will have to wait until next year.
Yeah, photography class. Sitting in a computer lab for an hour looking at images online. It's a real challenge.

The van transporting the gear for the Dublin NPS roadshow was stolen on Saturday night near The Phoenix Park.
The van contained equipment valued at £100,000 ($156,000) including the brand new D4 and D800 demo cameras.

Photography class was awesome. One of my favorites. I always sucked at developing because of my color blindness, but if you guys are going to be using film, you'll have a blast.
I kinda can't wait for the film craze to restart again, as I am sure it will like anything else vintage. When I thumb through my dads boxes of old pictures, there is just something about those photos, that digital can't capture. It is almost like those old film shots are alive in their own way.
Interesting, I thought the Tokina was considered better than the Nikkor here?
The chromatic aberration and focusing issues were finally getting to me.
The new Nikkor 10-24mm is wider and has zero focusing issues.
Tokina is nice but I find the Nikkor sharper and has a larger range,
where as the 11-16mm is almost like a prime lens, the difference between 11 and 16mm on DX is minimal.

Yea the CA on the Tokina is horrendous. I still like mine, but it can be limiting when CA is a concern.
Sometimes no amount of RAW processing can get rid of it.
