I think Santorini (Center St) is the best Greek in town.

Nobody has mentioned breakfast yet... I would like to nominate the Montreal Smoked Meat Omelette at the Belmont Cafe in Marda Loop. Possibly the greatest companion for a hangover I have ever met.
I used to love that place as well. But the last two time we went there, been very disappointed. Especially my husband's rack of lamb, it arrived all yellow just smothered in mustard, he sent it back.

Damn, you guys covered most of my favorites.

Rouge - relaxing evening in a haunted house - favorite all-time - try the Chef's Menu!
Dairy Lane - breakfast/lunch - they'll serve coffee to you while you wait on the sidewalk.
Trong Khanh - Centre Street N (around 12th/13th Ave) - love their Vietnamese spring rolls (not you typical machine-rolled variety)
La Viena (on Kensington between Crowchild and 19th St.) - huge variety of pastas and sauces and have a pasta special on Sunday and Monday (maybe, it's been a while)

I love going to Spiro's for Greek when they're having an event like mother's day or Greek Easter. Lamb done on a spit right out front of the restaurant.

We go to Spiros a couple of times a year for the pizza -- pure food porn, mega cheesy and toppings piled high. But their greek food, I'm sad to say, has been a disappointment.

I hate pancakes, but love Pfantastic's Pannekoek's. On the other hand, I know people who love IHOP type pancakes but hate Pfantastic.

Kinjo may not be the best sushi restaurant in town, but it is a great place to go if you are solo and want to have a quick bite of Japanese. You can sit down at the bar by yourself and have a quick bite, and you still get the sampler plate. Frequently, I get out of there for $10 at lunch time.

Have to plug the Holy Grill for its paninis with pickled egglant and sweets and beets.

the Ranche is in my top two as is Murietta's

Used to love Boneterra Trattoria but had a horrid experience there for lunch with my office group. Giving them due credit for it being a group, it was still a bad experience. I used to wait tables, it is not that hard. 2.5 hours for lunch is not acceptable.

Yeah, I don't rank it very high for Greek food on most days, but that lamb right off the spit is just awesome.

Went there and had a burger. Fries were very good, burger was pretty good as well. Can't really speak for the rest of the menu.

no love for Cactus Club? best steak in the city and you dont have to pay $45 dollars for it like at Hy's or Caesers.

Japanese Village is fun

Broken Plate is good, if not expensive

Sorry for the franchise mention but I go to White Spot at least once every 2 weeks for the roasted turkey dinner. Just can't get enough of it.
