Probably mentioned elsewhere, but Joseph Woll in Toronto had to take an indefinite leave of absence from the team for personal reasons. The Leafs said it is not because of injury of substance related issues, but it sure sounds serious.
General manager Brad Treliving revealed the news on Tuesday, making it clear Woll’s situation is unrelated to injury or substance use and emphasizing that the goaltender will have the team’s full support throuhgout this period.
“Certainly our expectation is Joe is gonna be back with us and we’ll see when that is,” Treliving said. “It’s early days. All our worry is just supporting and looking forward to getting him back.”
