The Panthers were undefeated in the finals when I didn't turn the game on or check the score until morning.

You do what you have to do for the W

When it happened, I understood it. There's no power plays, you're not getting any chances...need to do something to try and outmatch the Panthers and get a goal (and maybe get momentum and put Skinner back in).

It was desperate, and there was no way it was going to work. But nothing else was. And it was glorious.

Watched the ending from Cebu ferry terminal in the Philippines. Originally I was glad I was going to be away for these finals (I come back Jun 21), so happy with the outcome in any case and glad I could see it on my laptop.

Literally the only part of the final I watched was when Florida was up 3-0. I turned it on, watched the Oilers score 3 straight, and turned it off.

I felt like he was conceding in that moment.

Good morning everyone, hope everyone has a fantastic day except for anyone cheering for the oilers.

Bob very quietly (or maybe no so quietly anymore) carving himself a nice HOF career. 2-time Vezina winner, 2-time first team allstar, 2-time cup winner, 2-time legit Conn Smyth contender. Great things come in pairs?

Sexy career stats all around.

Probably my favorite goalie to watch outside of Wolf. Unreal career he is having.

Not sure if it was mentioned already but I noticed last night was that McPissy didn't play at all with 5 minutes left. Sure, they each had 22 min of TOI already at that point, but take the loss with your team you bums. How can you be Captain and Alternate Captain and be too above your team to even touch the ice with 5 minutes left cause you're getting blown out? Nope, leave it to your bum depth players cause you can't handle the emotion of the game.

Anyways, having a wonderful morning today!

he's had an incredible career. Still remember him being a young backup for Bryzgalov in Philly during that 24/7 Winter Classic HBO series ... amazing how long he's been in the league and how good he is.

What a feeling! Close second to having your team actually win once again.

Also, the Panthers' farm team is in the AHL final, trying to deny a championship for the AHL Canucks.

At that stage he was just being realistic.
He had gone through the previous 53 minutes seeing that the Grease had scored zero goals 5 on 5, and the Panthers were dominating. What was the likelihood that they could score 3 goals 5 on 5 in the remaining 7 minutes? It was like the “forlorn hope” in miltary operations.
